Nothing is guaranteed. Posters on this site seem to continuously make errors in their judgments by ignoring the fact that the market does not always follow any established or pre-existing patterns. There are so many variables that the industry is constantly in a state of change. You can assume a specific outcome will occur, or follow a logical direction, but it simply might not.
I suppose the difference between some of our members is that while many predict, some fully believe in their predictions and will argue with others about the integrity of said predictions, when they're often based on a fallacy. Just this past year, the changes resulting from the new system reveals, pricing, E3 etc. has obviated a huge amount of predictions and notions once held on this site as very believable and likely outcomes.
So that said, while it looks as though the PS4 is set to take the lead this generation, nobody can say with utter confidence and certainty at this moment in time that it will in fact do so.
