Forums - Nintendo - Faulty Wii U launch systems

The only thing that causes my WIi U freeze is sometimes NFS. But only when playing on tablet.

Mine has crashed about 3 times in game. Quite random, mostly during or after suspending a game. Ive had it for about five months now. Can't complain.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

My WiiU struggles to stay connected via wi-fi in the living room, weak antenna I guess. PS3 and now PS4 next to it are fine. It crashes occasionally requiring to unplug the power cord to get it going again.

The left analog stick on the game pad isn't working correctly anymore, now and then it doesn't register when you move the stick all out. Moving it back and forth gets it working again. Pretty annoying when you need to dodge quickly.

Mine used to freeze on Nintendo Land and a couple of other games but the early update fixed it. Smooth sailing ever since. It was software related, I guess.

Mine used to freeze occasionally when launching Netflix, but the latest patch fixed that. Smooth sailing since.

Say what you want about Nintendo but their hardware seems flawless in terms of failure rates! Not a peep at launch about broken systems. Seems you've been unlucky.

More of a software than hardware thing, but still the same outcome.

I had freezing from just browsing miiverse, never sent it in, after a few system updates never had a problem since :)

The only Wii U's I remember that bricked at launch were those that turned off their consoles on the day 1 update.

Minus a few game freezes (most before the stability patch), I haven't seen any problems myself.

Got it on Day 1. Never had any issue, no freezing, no crashing, nothing. It works perfectly. Only Nintendo systems are that reliable.

The only freezing-problems i've had was in Darksiders 2, but that was because the game was buggy
