Forums - Gaming - Xboxers Bashing PS4 For Reliability Issues Is Comically Ironic

I've actually seen very little of this, and I feel gutted for those it's happened to as it must be a pretty shit feeling.

100% believe if the tables were switched tho far more Sony 'fans' would be bragging ect. Seen that over the last 6 months.

I've seen like four threads spreading the FUD, two discounting it, and one just collecting data.

Also the tables will be switched in just a few days. Will XBONE actually have issues? No, of course not but that won't stop the spreading of FUD. Plus if we factor in all the fanboys getting "revenge," then the XBONE failure rates are going to appear supper nasty. Won't have to deal with the bragging part at least.

"Come on, Xbox fans...really?

While Sony maintains that the reported problems with PlayStation 4 launch units are rare, it's a little unsettling to see so many ticked off gamers. First it was the "Red Line of Death" and now it's the "Blue Line of Death." Obviously, a few systems do have issues.

But I find it absolutely sickening and embarrassing to see video game communities flooded with Xbox loyalists who are laughing about this. Laughing gleefully as if it's the funniest thing they've ever heard. Really? Really? Either these people have really bad memories or they're just really that stupid. For civility purposes, I'll assume it's the former.

Have they all forgotten that the Xbox 360 may be one of the worstconsumer products to ever be released to market in any category of goods and services? Do they not quite get that the term "blue line of death" is a version of "red ring of death," which wouldn't exist without the Xbox brand? We're talking over a 30% defective rate reported by five major retailers in North America, and it took four years for Microsoft to fix it. First they said they had no idea what caused the RRoD; then they pop up years later, after millions of additional purchases artificially inflated their sales numbers, and said they'd fixed it. "Here's a new system and now it actually works."

But above all else, I wasn't laughing when that was happening. I was disgusted, but I still felt bad for all the gamers Microsoft continued to fleece, over and over. I was a little concerned for the consumer's lack of intelligence - when someone tells me they're on their fifth 360, I have a question concerning potential brainwashing - but I didn't think it was funny. So, they're not only being childish about this PS4 issue, they're being vindictive, too. Listen to me very carefully, Xbox fans- if there's one aspect of game hardware you are never allowed to crow about, it's reliability.

Talk to me after the Xbox One has been out for a week and it has zero reported issues. I won't be holding my breath, though."

These are not my thoughts rather they are from this article above. I do agree with how ridiculous it is to point out a measely 1% failure rate (well below manufacturer standards, 8% i believe) in comparison to 360 which had a much higher ratio,  un heard of by any product that wasn't immediately taken off the market. Thats if you only count RROD and not the other fairly infamous 360 issue of Laser Burn that Gamestop reaps the benefits of by convincing ppl to get disc warrenties simply because of it (standard 30day warrenty wont cover LB)

Seriously, what is all this crap about "we" and "them"? I really don't understand all this. Videogames are to have fun with. If someone has fun because others have worse systems/games it says a lot about what these people consider as fun.

Completely agree. I dont feel bad at all for Sony fans becuase they have been asking for it. Had they not bashed Wii U and X1 for every little thing they could, it would be different but no one is going to show them something, that they refuse to show other console owners.

I do feel bad for those with broken ones, but I dont understand why some Sony fans are taking it personally that people are actually having issues with the console.

Its like your insulting their mother to say your PS4 isnt working.

You cant buy that kind of loyalty

This is true and it's very funny.

According to the Amazon reviews - 27.85% of the PS4s died.

I have seen barely any mocking on this site. I can't speak for other sites but this one I haven't seen. And honestly that is a pretty big deal on its own as much as the Xbox One and WiiU has been mocked for the last year.

it must be good news if they best thing they have to bash about the ps4 is a 0.4% failure rate.

"I was a little concerned for the consumer's lack of intelligence - when someone tells me they're on their fifth 360"

lol.... like someone above said "You cant buy that kind of loyalty"

Lets be serious here, most are Shills trying to spread the FUD

And that is what this article is speaking of....

I just don't think that because MS (and Nintendo) has been guilty of this, that Sony should somehow be off the hook.

We should not accept sub-par products. We should expect quality. If the multi-billion companies we give our hard-earned cash to do not deliver on this, they need to be held accountable. Stop the apologetics, stop the rationalizations - Sony deserves the bad publicity it is getting.

Does anyone have a working original xbox 360? I'd really like to know how many are actually still working!

By original do you mean the white ones that came out in 2005. If so, then YUP!

Mine still works like a charm, sounds like a freaking leaf blower and occasionally is unresponsive when I press the disk tray button other than that it's still kickin'.

I really don't see how some of you can justify it by stating simple "eye for an eye" rhetoric.

-Xbox One had massive anti consumer clauses. actual Xbox fans were even outraged by it. It wasn't secluded to  "haters". It is also more costly than a console that is more powerful.

-WiiU is selling poorly, and is underpowered in comparison to PS4 and XBO, not to mention 3rd Parties are hesitant on the system. This is also a big issue for a console to have. I haven't seen any one side pointing out these issues, rather this is a general concensus of the media.

-PS4? It has issues of it's own, but this issue is just Fanboys grasping at straws, tearing at anything to bring the system down in public eye. The lack of MP3 functionality in some not so sly effort to get forlks to buy Music Unlimited, the requiring of PS+ now for Multiplayer, etc are far more practical issues to latch onto to be honest.
