Instead of a new thread about the same topic only slightly different popping up I thought it would be fun to just predict each region in one thread.  I'll put your predictions below in each category.  Have fun everybody!  Oh and contratulations to the PS4 once again for the great start it has had.

America - 1.63m
Europe - 0.87m
Japan - 1.13m
Rest of the World - 0.27m

It's funny seeing how this discussion has changed. Just a few weeks ago people were saying it would take around 3 months for the PS4 to surpass the Wii U. Now we're on weeks lol Impressive indeed.

and in some regions we are talking about hours. lol

It shouldn't take long with the current rate right now although I wouldn't be surprised if some people held off because of the failure problems,

True haha! Especially if what Ben says is true about supply. 2.5 to 3 m sold is serious numbers for one region. 0_0

Europe week 1 if supply is enough and should stay like that for the rest of the generation.
NA I possibly see PS4 do it sometime around early next year temporarily, with Wii U regaining the lead when DKCR, Mario Kart and Smash combo release.
Rest of the World is a tricky one, cause I actually don't know which countries it launches in, but shouldn't take long, that's where PlayStation is the power.
And Japan obviously the longest, maybe sometime 2014, maybe 2015, after a pretty strong launch week I expect it to struggle like Wii U did there cause of lack of Japanese centric software, especially exclusive to PS4. Both consoles will sell badly there.

Usa, Uk and the rest of Europe will depend on supply, according to our very own Ben (who works at gamestop) the PS4 could have sold 2.5-3 million in its first day if there was supply. so in the USA its a supply issue, and in Eu i would assume the same. though i expect by week 2 the PS4 would have outsold the WiiU in UK. though after the USA numbers, ill be predicting that happens in its first week.

in Rest of the world and Japan it will take a while. in RotW the PS4 will be launching in the middle east and brazil this year, and in other places next year, and those markets arent that big, so it might take a while.
in japan i think it would take a matter of months rather than weeks, but i have no idea how that market is like really so i could be dead wrong

The sooner the better.. Then hopefully we can stop hearing about this from Sony fans and move on.

I tell you this: not going to happen in Brazil.
