Forums - Gaming - DF Face-Off: Batman: Arkham Origins (360 > PS3 > Wii U)

I had a bad feeling when I found out that the Wii U version was outsourced to Human Head Studios. A developer with no Wii U experience.

It also explains why they hired staff for an "open world" game late last year. It wasn't for a rumored Nintendo collaboration. It was for a crap port.

Looks like Warner just doesn't understand the Wii U and how to program on it. Such a shame considering they did a pretty ok job on Armored Edition for us. I own both and the Origins is DEFINITELY a step down on the Wii U compared to the one that came out a year ago on the Wii U.

Incredibly lazy and disgusting. I wish they had never even given us the game if this is the kind of crap that they are going to pull...

I just don't get it. If I was to go into work and only do half my job, I wouldn't be there very long, would I? Amazes me how these people still have jobs only doing halfway, broken ports...

That's the weird thing. This game was developed from the ground up by the people who did the Wii U port of Arkham City. One would figure they would have more experience with the Wii U than others.

Ah, so it was outsourced from WB Montreal, a group who themselves are a second tier developer?

Damn.

If developers don't want to take the time to produce a decent game on my system of choice then I have no problem spending 100% of my video game dollars on Nintendo games. A little game called Super Mario 3d World proves what can be done when the programmers actually give a shit.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Warner Bros is full of lazy developers. Straight 3DS to Vita ports, crappy ports between consoles, etc. They've quickly became one of my least favorite publishers.
