Mine works fine no issues as of yet. Linked with Vita and that works also.

how does remote play works(1-10scale)?

Was initially having issues (Not sure why) but last night it worked great and I played through Resogun in it's entirety.

Worked great.

I don't think Rol has ever bought a non-Nintendo console. At least in recent years. Come on, it's Rol, he is just doing what he does best.

Plus, he is Austrian, and they don't get PS4s until the 29th. Some might say he could've imported, but it really isn't possible to get your PS4 imported within a day or two from America to Austria.

Not to mention that I said I bought Knack.

Thanks for clearing that up then.

nice to hear
this gimmick seems to be far more than a gimmick

I'm guessing the console might have really poor production standards. Like it will fall apart if you bang it against something. I mean is amazon being careless with packages something new?  Would make sense since regular retail stores were fine with the device but Amazon exclusively wasn't.  All the angry customers on the Sony forums talk about how there are screws sticking out and cracks in the case.  They don't just mention one problem but a wide array of damages.

Mine works like a charm. No freezes or other issues. BTW on a slightly unrelated note, is anyone else having problems with the trophy list? Mine doesn't seem to be refreshing properly and the games keep going out of order.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

I think there are still plenty of issues related around PSN due to very high volume. Trophy syncing would be one of them.

Hey guys! New to the forum here!

My console is working great!

I have 4 friends with PS4's and they have zero issues other than the PSN bugs everyone is experiencing!

I also had to stop into my Best Buy yesterday to pick up a camera and I asked the Geek Squad guy if they had any returns of the PS4. He told me that they had ZERO consoles coming back broken out of 125 they sold.

I think realistically the console will have a 3%-5% failure rate. Which is about 30,000-50,000 systems out of the inital 1 million thus far.

But in the age of the internet where everyone can post their displeasure on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, game forums etc. It makes the issue seem much more widespread than it is. Also, if your system IS working, you probably aren't going online to post about it. You are PLAYING it. Side note, there have also been many troll accounts on websites like IGN, GameSpot, etc with 1 single post created in the last day or two saying their PS4 is bricked with no details or proof of anything. There are even accounts on the Playstation Support Forum like this as well. Everyone needs to calm down and let things play out.

I do feel terrible for those with broken consoles but I am confident the machine will hold up fairly well. It seems like if your system wasn't DOA, you should be fine!

I went through 4 Xbox 360's myself so I am no stranger to hardware issues with consoles.

Good luck to everyone and I hope you are all enjoying your PS4s! :D

It seems that this is an Amazon related incident but the issues do seem to be every growing as the day passes... Maybe it was only the launch editions? Not sure whats happening but if the issues continue to grow after a week... there is clearly a major flaw in Sony's part... If they don't fix it quickly, there will be lawsuits and people will stop buying the system...

But here is a list of pretty much all legit CRITICAL issues that have happened on the ps4 so far:

We should also keep a track of the reviews from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-4-Launch/dp/B00BGA9WK2/ref=lp_6427871011_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1384662542&sr=1-1

The good and the bad reviews seem to go up

Right now, its about 34% (448 failed out of 1290 sold) failure rate (if the reviews are true) which is better than the 40% it was this morning...

To be clear, that would be 34% _OF THE 1290 REVIEWS_ posted to Amazon, not 34% of all PS4's sold by Amazon. I would guess the 'sold' number is in the tens of thousands range, so that actual failure rate of the hardware is likely orders of magnitude lower than 34%

My Amazon console is working fine. I see 3 friends on all time with there PS4's. I also noticed when i pulled the Hard Drive cover off there are some numbers under it. I wonder if these could be used to determine the bad batch?

But I mentioned all that on my original comment... It was clearly referring to the amazon's review thing... 40% of the reviewers said it was bricked this morning but the reviews went up for both good and bad so it is now 34% because the amount of people that has a ps4 working finally decided to post their reviews...

It is simply idiotic to use review statistics as any indication of failure rate (we are talking misterxmedia stupidity here). Several dozen people around me buy from Amazon. None of them ever bothered to write a review. All we see at the moment is an indication of a manufacturing problem with hdmi ports, update software that stumbles and cannot recover from the very mistake it makes, and incompetent US management that didn't plan for the shitstorm (which was absolutely forseeable and even quantifyable).

Well... the only reason I mentioned it is cause those reviews r one of the primary reasons why sites are even talking about the issue... All the sites I have been to that is talking about bricked ps4s mentions those reviews at some point.
