It is simply idiotic to use review statistics as any indication of failure rate (we are talking misterxmedia stupidity here). Several dozen people around me buy from Amazon. None of them ever bothered to write a review. All we see at the moment is an indication of a manufacturing problem with hdmi ports, update software that stumbles and cannot recover from the very mistake it makes, and incompetent US management that didn't plan for the shitstorm (which was absolutely forseeable and even quantifyable).

you should keep updating this thread by adding the names of the people who bought the ps4 and its status to the OP. so we can see how many people have it in relation to how many broke.

 

I got my PS4 from the MCX and it works.

 

my count is 18 ps4's in this thread, with 1 being broken. (that is if Rolstoppable actually has ps4's, which seems hard to believe)

so 5.5% failure rate in this thread

edit: +4 consoles so 22, that makes 4.5% failure rate.

Trust me, Rol doesn't have a PS4.


If true that would make a big difference. Would drop the VGC failure rate to 2.2%.

 

I don't know if it's true or not, so I will have to take his word for it.

Mine works fine no issues as of yet. Linked with Vita and that works also.

how does remote play works(1-10scale)?

No problems yet.

Order was fulfilled by Amazon.

PSV link worked when set up although I haven't got around to doing remote play for no good reason. BD media won't stream to PSV due to licensing issues.

7 i would say because if i shut down the console completely i cannot turn it back on using the vita.
