Forums - Sony - (Sony and Nintendo First Party Games last two years) Has Sony's First Party been disappointing for the past two years?

I don't see anything on that list below a 70% average other than Knack. Sony has been doing a fantastic job with their first party lineup this gen. I could see them rivaling Nintendo with the PS4.

Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault is also below 70.

I would have to disagree with the matching Nintendo thing. Sony have too many teams that work on the filler stuff and the handheld support is abysmal in comparison to Nintendo.

Didn't see Ratchet and Clank but it doesn't make much of a difference.

Also I'm speaking from personal taste. Nintendo has become lazier and less inspired in recent years while Sony has been gradually improving. It's a bit of a leap, but Nintendo just doesn't seem untouchable to me now.

More than half the games on there were not disappointing at all! Latest example being Puppeteer, which got an 80 and it's one of my favorite games this gen.

A game doesn't have to score above 90 on metacritic to be a non disappointing game, ya know!

Nope, nowadays the rule is, 90+ or it sucks. That's the hardcore gamer rule.

In terms of Home consoles (which I mainly play) MS and Nintendo have been disappointing the past 2 years. Sony has not been golden or anything but definitely been pretty good.

Handhelds? Decent but needs work.

I was looking forward to Lair before its release and... yea

The same exact thing is happening with Knack for me

Battle Royale and LittleBigPlanetKarting were not bad but they did disappoint me personally

List is missing actual low scoring games.

Pokemon Rumble U - 49 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/pokemon-rumble-u

Game and Wario - 61 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/game-wario

Wii Party U - 65 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/wii-party-u

Brain Age - 71 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/brain-age-concentration-training

Dillons Rolling Western - 65 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/dillons-rolling-western/details

Pokemon Gates to Infinity - 59 - http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity

Along with a fair few games released on the eshop that I probably passed by and ignored. Its easy enough to go through and find poor reviewing games.

It mentions right beside Sony "notable"  Id be here all day finding First party games if i were to list them all.

Why exactly do you use  New Super Luigi U  with 77  instead of  New Super Mario Bros U with 84%?    NSLU is basically just a DLC that is also available as standalone version.

To me it looked like you were trying to make Nintendo games equal to Sony games      JK   :)
