Another reason why I don't want a new console at launch unless it's made by Nintendo. Yeah, I've done it several times in the past but it's often come back to bite me. Just too many kinks to work out.

To be fair this is pretty unconfirmed, and really even if this is true it does not mean anything. Heck my launch Wii U did not read any games and I had to send it in, but there does not seem to be any widespread issue of that happening.

Probably the problem with it is that it came from Taco Bell. The employees have probably been playing frisbee with it in the backroom like the Wal~Mart employees were with the ipads in the youtube video that came out at about this time last year.

4000 Tacos were served.

How many have been delivered?  - 20%-50% (?)

How many of those 4000 are going to gamers? - >90%

How many of those gamers would instantly go online yelling about problems? - 100%

So we would expect anywhere from 5 to 100 dead PS4s to show up in internet forums. That's just how statistics work.

So far it seems to be limited to Taco's. Several thousand units have gone to developers in the meantime, and we haven't heard of mass failures there. In a few days we will know if there is a manufacturing problem or not.
