No, i never buy consoles when they first launch just in case there is something wrong with the hardware, like Xbox 360's RROD problem. I'll pick one up around holiday of 2014 most likely. By then i will also know if I want to go PS4 or Xbox One.

So yeah, we did get a 25% discount. At the Target he works at employees were recently given a 10% disocunt to use towrds any electronics in the store. So combine that with his employee and redcard discount an we just got a PS4 for $375.

Edit: Actaully We got it for $335. My brother said Target doesn't apply tax until after the discounts are applied, so we got a nice $100 discount, then tax was applied to $299.

Selected neither. Never been a early adopter and while they are responsible for driving the product forward, they pay more, get little launch content, go through the growing pains, etc.

Ill wait until a price drop or a redesign before I get the X1. After all, I didn't buy a 360 until the Elite in April 2007.
