Favourite is Sony. Least favourite is probably between Activision and Nintendo. None of those truly have franchises that appeal to me.

Favorite is definitely Nintendo. They've been publishing the best games on the planet for 30 years. Least favorite is Electronic Arts, not because they don't publish great games -- they do -- but because of their business practices.

I'd have to say that I enjoy more games from Nintendo than any other publisher.

Least favorite; a real shocker here with EA.
Reason; online DRM, spyware in Origin, horrible pricing, forcing terrific developers to pump out medicore games, buying smaller companies with massive talent and amazing franchises, butcher the franchises for a quick dollar or no dollar at all and disperse the talent or set them to demeaning tasks.

Favorite; Valve.
Reason; They're all round amazing for consumers and developers, they have offered a revolution in distribution, user generated content, Indie titles and outsourcing developer tools (why do you think it was dubbed the "source engine"?). On top of this, they make amazing games themselves, they don't talk smack, they take risks and they help lift the little man.
Valve is just about the only positive contributor overall to the gaming industry in the 7th gen, the way I see it.

Excluding Sony and Nintendo, my favorite is R*. Their games are just top notch and they are consistently good. RDR, Max Payne 3 and the GTA games are great examples of this.


I don't have a "least favorite" really, but I am most indifferent towards EA.

Sony. Even before I knew about who sony was i played their games without even realising it. I only found out about developers and stuff this generation.

PS1 - Crash, Spyro, Ape Escape, Twisted Metal, Gran Tursimo, wipeout, syphon Filter, A bugs life. You get the picture. I loved all these games without even knowing where they come from.
PS2 - Gran Tursimo, Twisted Metal, God of War, Singstar, Jak, Wipeout.

Fast forward to today and this still has not changed. Sony still consistently make games I love above all other publishers.

PS1 they were the best publisher.
PS2 - Had 8 really amazing games i would not have passed up. Also my favourtie, Jak n Daxter
PS3 - they were the best publisher

I dont know about worst because I dont really pay attention to crappy publishers. If you want me to mention high profile pulishes I do not rate, than

activision (I aint even sure i have purchased a game from them with my own money this gen)

Microsoft (Never liked their games, though I did love Fable before they ruined it)

Square enix (Just for how far they have falling)

I am sure their are publishers around who are far worse. I mean what geniuses thought it were a good idea to sell Angry Birds for 30 quid on the PSN store?

Yes, but I don't like a lot of games produced under Take Two (outside of R*'s games). R* is both a pub and developer, so it counts.
