I imported the game, it forces you to install all 5GB or so onto your HDD.  It takes about 15-20 minutes.  They just updated the american site and its the same deal.  If you look at the specs of the game under madatory HDD space it says 5121 MB.  Just thought you guys might want to know, cause I saw a lot of complaining about the DMC4 install.  I don't know about other PS3 owners but my HDD is getting filled up fast ( I got a 60GB),

Yikes, this is getting annoying. A bad precedent is being set with the limited HDD sizes found in the PS3.

...5GB for the prologue? thats ridiculous. To be fair, most PS3 games carry quite a hefty install its just now its getting publicised. I didnt realise oblivion had a 5GB install till I checked the other day. Didnt take 20 minutes though :S

Oblivion has an install? I'll have to check that because I don't remember installing anything. I remember playing it just a few minutes after I got home.

since you have the game, how's the load time?

With 5GB installation, it better has NO loadtime whatsoever.

 Thats what I mean; there was no BIG install, but itdoes shove 5gb of data on the HDD.

 don't know what system you have, but i believe only ps3 has the install.

what's the deal with all this console games going the PC installation route?

it really makes so little sense to me.

i guess there's something about operating system design that makes it hard not to go there because the architecture is so sophisticated? does anybody have some insight on this?

the load times are pretty quick. i mean they aren't instantanious, but around 5 seconds to go from the events screen to the racetrack.

Hmm, according to Wikipedia the download is only 2.2GB...how can the blu-ray version force a 5gb install then?
