Now there's Crusader Kings II. :D

Nice pick. Any interesting rulers to start out with that you might want to recommend?

Also, I just want to add that no sheep were harmed in the creation of my #44. (original hint was probably too vague)

@shogia

I'm going to take a guess and say that the game is Twilight Princess, and that you're referring to the yetis in Snowpeak Ruins. But I thought you could only snowboard against the male yeti who serves you soup, and I don't remember a boss battle against him.

#44 Rhythm Heaven Fever(Wii)

Platform: Wii  Release:February 2012

I love this game for both its art and soundtrack plus the simple but intuitive gameplay. it looks fantastic albeit simplistic for a Wii game. It's music is amazing. I wish I was good at rhythm so, I could actually beat the game but I'm only ok at it.

Hint for #43:

It's time for some super soccer

You're correct about the game. The female yeti turns into the boss after seeing the mirror shard and you can sled (my bad on transportation type) against her after beating the male yeti in a race to get a piece of heart.

That's from the credits of Spyro the Dragon, your previous clue makes more sense now.

Primarily an RPG player but have interest in any game that will make me think.

Hint number 43.

Part of the theme song is woo ooo.

Dawn of the Seventh Day - 43 Hints Remaining

#43. This rather recent reboot/remake finally convinced me that cover systems can be interesting, as long as I'm playing as a commander instead of a supersoldier. Also, Snipers are freaking OP.

It is indeed

I do like playing as the Byzantine Empire after its peak and trying to build it back up again. But to be honest, for the most part I just play the ASOIAF mod

Let's test your VGC knowledge rather than your gaming knowledge with this one:

Hint for #43: I won a month-long sig and avatar bet with waron a while ago related to the platform(s) on which this game would be released.

Okay.

Now seriously, this could be a ton of games. Nintendo World Cup, Soccer Brawl, Hat Trick Hero, Sega Soccer Slam, Mario Strikers, Inazuma Eleven... and probably I haven't mentioned the right one.

#46: Ninja Gaiden II: Sword of Chaos (NES)

I never owned Ninja Gaiden II but I borrowed it from my friend many many times. In this game, you play as Ruy Hayabusayou and travel through stages slashing up your enemies with your trusty sword and the help of some powerups. The most interesting one being the ability to create one or two doubles of yourself who follow you around and mimic your every move which can be very useful if you know how to use it, especially against bosses. The game is unforgiving and very difficult but the only limit to the number of times you can try over is your patience.
