#15 - Metal Gear Solid 3 (Kudos to no-one for guessing this)
GOOD GUESS BRENDUDE!
Yeah, it's been a while since this clue. Metal Gear Solid remains to this day one of the most enjoyable cinematic experiences I've ever played. The mix of storytelling and stealth action gameplay is second to only one other in my list. I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed the gameplay, really, considering the jungle setting really put me off when it was first pitch - but once I played it, it actually turned out better than I expected.
MGS3 is probably Kojima's best ever story. By not allowing itself to be bogged down by the past (although occasionally it gets a little bogged down with what has to come in the future), it managed to start with a "clean" slate to just tell a fantastic spy-fiction storyline, full of twists and turns but more importantly - really interesting characters.
The CQC combat system made hand to hand combat much less of a struggle than previous games, and things like stamina meters and the need to eat were neat little touches. In fact, the game was filled with neat little things that make it stand out from its peers, like Snake's grunts of anger when firing weapons for a long period of time.
But the main draw of MGS for me - besides the story - is out here in full force. The boss battles. Holy shit, the boss battles. A whole array of ridiculous villains, the kind I've come to expect from MGS, are here and better than ever. But there's also more than that. There's an action-packed bike chase which wouldn't feel out of place in an action movie. There's a CQC combat sequence with an emotional backstory. This is definitely a highlight in the series for me.
All in all, one of Kojima's better works, and restored my faith in the franchise after the spotty MGS2 (much like I'm hoping MGS5 will do after the spotty MGS4).
Clue for my #14 - a futuristic rts whose plot involves you fighting a rogue AI.
Clue for my #13 - "patients are reminded not to die in the corridors".

Starcraft
Theme Hospital or Portal 2...That has to be from one of those.

I thought StarCraft was all about zergs and Kerrigan and such. No, it's not that.
You are correct with Theme Hospital for the second, though!

Syndicate Wars?

Getting closer. I'll throw a few more clues since I may have made it too hard:
- Syndicate Wars is a good guess because of the developer. The developer of the game I'm talking about is linked - in a way - to Bullfrog.
- The plot of the game I'm talking about is actually an expansion pack. The base game involved the aftermath of the previous game where one faction was in ruin after the death of their leader and decided to steal the AI of the opposing faction.

You're right.
14. Super Metroid (15 last year) first impression 8.5, replay 8.5, technical 9.5
Pros: The 2D Metroid formula polished to a perfect sheen, exploration with enough "soft guidance" from the game's very design so that you'll never really get intractably lost like you could in the original Metroid, but without any overt guidance of any sort. Difficulty curve is just right, bosses are epic and in some cases, quite clever.
Cons: I've just never appreciated 2D games quite as much. Nothing the game did wrong, just a personal preference thing.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Time-travel shenanigans in number 13 led to a decade of rampant, paranoid speculation in the game's fandom.

#15 - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Can't believe nobody got this one either.
I guess a lot of people weren't blown away by this game because they kept on comparing it to the original Final Fantasy VII, a traditional RPG. I didn't really have any expectations for this game however, and I felt I could appreciate it for what it was trying to be, an action-RPG on a portable device. The story is one of the best of any game I've ever played, with some very emotional moments, most notably the ending. The characters, both old and new, are great. It ties in brilliantly with the first game and fans of Final Fantasy VII should not miss it. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing and also one of the best I've heard in any game. It mostly consists of rock music, but also features some softer tunes and some incredible remixes of music from the original Final Fantasy VII. The track that plays during the final battle deserves a special mention, it's amazing, and fits the moment so perfectly.
The battle system is also great. It's fast paced, fluid and very unforgiving. My first playthrough on normal was very challenging at times, with the difficulty peaking on a very suitable boss who I shall not name. I'm halfway through my first playthrough on hard, which has been brutal so far. Overall, it's a simple and very enjoyable game, with a brilliant battle system, story and soundtrack. Just don't approach it expecting something comparable to a mainline Final Fantasy game.
Hint for #14:
Most people would call this the best 3D game in the franchise.
