It arrived on the successor of the very first home console and it was inspired by the most popular movie-genre in the '60s and '70s. It actually made for an intense multiplayer experience, because bullets could bounce off trees! I don't think anyone would guess this though, but don't beat yourself over it . I'll post it in a couple of hours (it's actually already a bit late for the hint).

I....I remeber a game where bullets bounce off tree's, but I can't remember it for the World. I want to say Contra, but I don't think that's it. Is it a 2D Platformer at least?

My #49 is a fighting game that was only on the genesis and is widely regarded by fans as a game that needs to be remade / rebooted. It was critically acclaimed but largely overlooked. It's "finishing moves" depended mostly on where you were standing in the level.
