#36 - One of the major characters in this game, was not seen in a sequel, but might be re-introduced in the next game in the series. This game is often considered the best in the franchise by most of the hardcore fans. This is also a fighter, it's a sequel to a game which almost didn't get localized because the developer thought that the Western Audience wouldn't like it.

Tekken 3 almost didn't get localized? Not the game, but wow this hint is pretty vague.

I'm going to take a stab at this and say Super Smash Bros.

Close, it's the sequel to that game, Melee. Smash Bros. fans often regard Melee as the most advanced version of the game, and because of Melee we saw Fire Emblem get localized

Mewtwo was the character that might get re-introduced. He wasn't in Brawl, but I've read rumors about him possibly coming to the next Smash Bros along with his Mega Evolution.

#35 - Was an exclusive, then it was no longer exclusive, but then a special edition made this an exclusive again. A terrible design choice in the sequel killed all hype for this franchise. Gameplay involves using grapple hooks to climb up ledges, and thermal packs to survive the extreme conditions.

Lost Planet.

Bingo! Lost Planet was a 360/PC exclusive, it was actually a big reason why I bought a 360 instead of a PS3 in 2007, but then it became one of the many exclusives on the 360, which later turned out only to be timed exclusives. However a year later, they released a Lost Planet: Colonies Edition, which had its own set of 1,000 achievements (so combined I have like 1,400/2,000), and this version never released on PS3.

Specifically I think I like the Colonies edition better, but once the free online with XBL Silver deal stopped, I stopped playing this game and began loathing MS. If they did it for free before, and if PC gamers using the same servers still get the game free? Why are you screwing only the console owner over?

Grapple Hooks and Thermal packs in FFXIII? Also a terrible design choice in FFXIII killed the hype for the FF series. For My #35 there is no design choice flaws, but the sequel was a mega flop because of them.

I figured the terrible design choice was making FF14 an MMO.

Is 35 Lost Planet?

Yes it is. The terrible design choice in Lost Planet 2 is the damn forced co-op campaign. The game is so poorly designed, if too many people quit, the game is dropped, and you can't start from a checkpoint. You pool lives so even if 1 gamer sucks, you loose loose, and when you play in single player the AI are so bad, the game becomes almost a stealth shooter....However I did like the 2 different openings for different characters, gives you incentive to play the game more then once.

Lost Planet 2 killed all hype for the series. Lost Planet sold 2 million units between the PS3/360, and Lost Planet 2 still managed 1.57 million even with the bad reviews, but LP3 only saw 0.16 million sales......

#31 When you hack into a research computer in this game, you can ask the following questions, and get these answers:

What happened to China? Reports uncertain. China my be fictional.
Can mole rates be domesticated? Yes if defanged, declawed, & lobotomized
Can Centaurs talk? Abundance of tongues suggest so.

31- Fallout: New Vegas

Close enough - Fallout 3.

I only just started playing New Vegas now, I wanted to make this hint as obscure as possible because I wanted to reference something in the game. However if I mentioned vault, or super mutant, I think people would have guessed it immediatly.

#38 - One of the only games where they managed to make a proper 4th installment on a trilogy that ended very conclusively. I.i. it's the 4th game in a trilogy. The enemies in the game are a type of parasite which spread uncontrollably because the enemy type in the games name have been erraticated.

Halo 4?

I wouldn't consider Halo 4 a proper 4th installment, nor would I say Halo 3 ended conclusively. I can see how parasite hints works with this game though. The game I'm talking about comes from a higher rated franchise on average. This game also scored 5% better then Halo 4 on metacritic, and the 1st game in the series scored above Halo 1!

Number 30 is a bit of a black sheep in its franchise, which usually features very simple power sets, this one allowed you to mix and match powers and create weird ones like Refrigerator, Laser Sword, Curling, and Dynamite.

Exploding snowman was probably the most fun.

This sounds like South PArk, but I'm going to vote Scribblenauts.

More hits for my other games:

#37 - This game received some praise for mocking other well established franchises but critisizm for a lack of originality. Had a very challenging post game challenge mode, which took me 2 days to finish, but it was damn satisfying. IMO this game defines fast paced action games. This game was criticized because the enemies look like a main enemy type from Mass Effect. There is even a section which mocks Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell. This is a futuristic space themed game, which takes place on a ship which looks awefully similar to the Citadel from Mass Effect.

#30 - It's not a spoiler that everyone who is like you dies in this game because it's a prequel to the game where the 1 survivor is the protagonist. One of the enemy ships in this game has the same name as a fast American sports car.

This being the first time I have ever put together a top 50 list, it is really odd how many entries I have that are "part 2" in a series.  There are tons of them...Behind due to holidays, Clues for:

ALREADY GUESSED 33 - This game is the the somewhat overlooked sequel to the original NES game which contained an inexplicable head to toe pink suit. This sequel, which I very slightly prefer, never contained any actual people.

32 - The second entry in a series based on each level being from a different time period.  Fans have been clammoring for an HD sequel.

31 - Fans argue on which entry is the best in this series but I prefer part 1.  It is an unexpectedly popular basketball game based on the premise of the NBA JAM series.  The newest current gen entry was by far the weakest and may have meant the demise of the series.

30 - This entry in the series is the favorite of many and was the first to feature grappling and projectile deflection with the main weapon.

ALREADY GUESSED 29 - This is the first 3D entry in this popular series and was meant to be a launch title for N64.  It was given more resources including character modeling by Rare and postponed.

ALREADY GUESSED 28 - Commonly known as one of the "Big3" in arcade history, this is the 3rd highest grossing arcade game of all time both in units sold and revenue.  It is also the only game in the top 5 that is not a "shooting" arcade game.

'Age of Mythology (& Titans expansion)'

for the PC released in 2002.

Perhaps the best real-time strategy game ever made, by perhaps the best studio in the genre. 'Age of Mythology' is set in early antiquity and puts the ancient Egyptians, the old Greek and the primitive Norse against each other in warfare. With the expansion, that ensemble is enhanced by the mysterious Atlantians. While at least the original three civilisations are at their base inspired off real-world ancient civilisations, the emphysis in placed on the mythical, on the powers of the Gods.

What's best about the game, is that each civilisation is fundamentally different. Each with their own units, unit-types, buildings and tech-trees. Within each civilisations, are three sub-civilisations each worshipping their own particular God. For example, the Greek civilisation has a choice of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades as their main God. Choosing a God is half the strategy, as it unlocks specific tech and units and off course, their own 'God-Power'. Advancing ages works the same, but Gods overlap.

All this variety makes for a game that requires a lot of strategic thinking. More than ever, one must know their enemy and know their strenghts and weaknesses. The mythical setting allows for some extremely cool unit-designs and each player will find their favorite path through the many combinations of Gods to choose when advancing. On top of that, the game looked amazing and played flawlessly.

29: Killer Instinct Gold? EDIT: No GoldenEye 007 I think.

28: Donkey Kong? Though I admit I don't know what the Big3 Arcade games are... But I figure it's something like Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong .

Trust me, Pavolink, I know your feels.

I'm enjoying a certain platforming game at the moment... and enjoying it quite a bit.

Nope.  I should clarify.  I think rare may have only worked on 1 of the models...not sure on it.  LOL, on second thought it isn't a very good clue.
