I'm still behind - Added more hints

#45 - An underappreciated fighter published by Sony. This game is super fun because you can impale people with stuff you break. It's a PS2 fighter, with no playable Human Characters.

#44 - One of the most expensive games on eBay, more expensive then Earthbound. It's similar to MegaMan X, and it's also a SNES game. Developed by a Western Studio (which is known for big budget movies), published by a Japanese one (which wasn't a big studio until the PS1 era).

#33 - Sequel to a popular online FPS. This is what people played before Call of Duty.

45- War of the Monsters.

44 - Metal Warriors.

33 - Counter-Strike.

YEA! you got it! War of the Monsters is such an amazing game, but I'm sure very few people have played it. I'm not much into fighters, but I really loved this game.

Metal Warriors is also a great platformer. It's a bit faster paced then megaman, and because you can fly and change suits, it feels a lot better developed.

As for CS, it's actually CS: Source, but close enough. Free online multiplayer, fast games, it's one of the few games I actually cared about teamwork.

#33 Hint

This game was credited for actually doing something better than the game on the same platform that was later widely regarded as the greatest game ever made.

Majora's Mask? Although I don't know what it was credited for that's better then OoT? I still like MM more then OoT though, that fierce diety mask was something.

The graphical style of ALttP was not looney.

Also Phantom Hourglass is alright, but I still prefer the mature looking Zelda's like OoT, MM, L'sA, OoA/OoS, etc.

It was colorful and simple. When interpeted into 3D, I don't believe it would be much different from ALBW's style.

As for what art style you prefer... that's not relevant. You were implying that there was no logical reason for these games to use cel-shading, presumably based on the belief that a "mature-looking" art style is inheriently superior in every context. To which I can't help but think: "Wat."

It was simple because of the limitations of the SNES, and colourful because it was an early SNES game, and Nintendo wanted to show off the ability of SNES to render colours. It was still a darker, more mature Zelda IMO.......upon further inspection, ALBW's is not as childish looking as I thought. Still, it hardly pushes the console graphically like the older Zelda's did. Twilight Princess, OoT, MM, Link's Awakening, Zelda 1, ALttP, they all pushed the console graphically the best they could. A Link Between Worlds, and the DS Zelda's don't appear to have tried that.

Also I don't think ALBW is cell shaded. I think my biggest issue with the game is that it doesn't push the 3DS as much as OoT 3D did, nor as much as older Zelda games. If feels cheaper when it's like that.

Almost caught up

#38 - One of the only games where they managed to make a proper 4th installment on a trilogy that ended very conclusively. I.i. it's the 4th game in a trilogy. The enemies in the game are a type of parasite which spread uncontrollably because the enemy type in the games name have been erraticated.

#37 - This game received some praise for mocking other well established franchises but critisizm for a lack of originality. Had a very challenging post game challenge mode, which took me 2 days to finish, but it was damn satisfying. IMO this game defines fast paced action games. This game was criticized because the enemies look like a main enemy type in a famous Bioware Game.

#36 - One of the major characters in this game, was not seen in a sequel, but might be re-introduced in the next game in the series. This game is often considered the best in the franchise by most of the hardcore fans. This is also a fighter, it's a sequel to a game which almost didn't get localized because the developer thought that the Western Audience wouldn't like it.

#35 - Was an exclusive, then it was no longer exclusive, but then a special edition made this an exclusive again. A terrible design choice in the sequel killed all hype for this franchise. Gameplay involves using grapple hooks to climb up ledges, and thermal packs to survive the extreme conditions.

Hehehe... nope.

Not Majora's Mask, but of course you guessed the other game and the platform I meant correctly. Now... what other game of the time was credited for something it did better than Ocarina of Time... I admit it's probably a hard hint, because it doesn't really say anything about the game I mean, but the game I mean is a well-known game nonetheless. I think I'm gonna sit on an extra hint for while though, see what else you or anyone else come up with .

And also: Counter Strike! D*mn, I could've known that one >.<

Hint for 33.

If I ever have to fake my name, I'll be using either Chuck Finley or Schtolteheim Reinback IV.

Suikoden II.

First one.  The part where you're escaping Gregminster and you have to pass the border with fake names.  Viktor says he'll be Schtolteheim Reinback III, I always choose IV.

The second one isn't on my list actually.  I like the series because of the story mainly and decent gameplay though incredibly easy.  The second game, the story feels like it drags pretty bad at points and then after you know who dies in one of the coolest scenes in a video game, it feels like it drags on for the rest of the game.

#35: Bioshock Infinite (PC)

For this game, the first thing I fell in love with was the art direction. The world that has been created for you is vibrant and beautiful. Even when I had to lower the graphics settings because my old laptop is starting to show its age, Columbia remained awe inspiring.  Bioshock: Infinite manage to take the unique FPS gameplay of its predecessor and move it to a totally different location giving a breath of fresh air to the franchise. The story is brillantly told, especially the character of Elizabeth who is at your side for most of the game. In true Bioshock fashion the plot is full of twists and turns and kept me captivated the whole way through.

#34: Super Castlevania IV (SNES)

Super Castlevania IV is a game I never get tired of replaying. Despite me knowing like the back of my hand, it's still challenging. The controls are simple but perfect, being able to whip up, down, in diagonal is a godsend against those pesky bats and the game features one of my favorite soundtracks ever (Castlevania music rocks!).

#33 hint: The hero of this game is handsome, athletic, funny and has really nice buns. If it wasn't for the fact that he's juggling two chicks, you could totally mistake him for me.

Well you said "that was later widely regarded as the greatest game ever made." This tells me the game came out before Ocarina of Time, and OoT was a 1997 game, so that eliminates a lot of options.

I'll have to vote Super Mario 64, as the 3D effects for this game are second to none. Zelda is awesome, but Link can't do a triple jump.
