40 - Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga?

40. You're warm

40 - Paper Mario 64.

Bingo
While I still prefer Super Mario RPG (it's higher on my list) this game was still pretty satisfying. The RPG elements in this game were still rock solid, and while a Paper Mario seems kind of dumb, it actually kinda worked in a Nintendo RPG/Puzzle game.

Hint for #34:
This wonderful RPG blends golden-age Final Fantasy and Zelda gameplay to great effect.

Golden Sun? (Zelda like Dungeons, "Golden Age", Turn based RPG)
|
Bingo. I love Golden Sun. The battle system has a lot in common with FFVI, and using magic spells like action/adventure tools an obvious design decision that most other RPGs don't use for some reason.
If the intro wasn't so long and dull, I'd probably put Golden Sun in my top 25.

I would have said that this game was a Zelda/Final Fantasy/Pokemon mix maybe? While Dijin can be summoned like summons in an FF game, collecting them, and setting them up for battle kinda felt like Pokemon. Still those dungeons definatly have that Zelda/Nintendo Puzzle charm.
I really loved this game and the sequel. Never played Dark Days, but it's on my TDL
BTW, I've always loved these games because I feel the difficulty was spot on. I beat the boss of both games after draining my Dijin, using up all my mana, mana recovoring items, and healing items, and then finishing the 99,999 health boss with a basic attack which deals about 100 damage. LOL, both times, was a magical experience.
