Might as well post my hints now, I'll give a reason to catch up tonight!

#36: Deceivingly simple, but tough to Master. Hands down the best fighter on its console.
#35: The female protagonist could be related to Beauty and the Beast's Belle and the male protagonist could be his own worst enemy.

36 - Playstation All-stars or Melee :P

35 - I have no idea

#36 Mario Party 7
I like this entry in particular because its good variety of minigames and the boards are pretty solid. Mario Party 8 became too gimmicky, 9 lacked the competiveness and 6 time of day mechanic was annoying for boards. 7 nearly avoids all these problems. If I had played the N64 ones they might have been but I haven't. My only real issue with 7 is that the Bowser Time was very annoying

Hint for #35: A great competitive online multiplayer game whose sequel was lackluster

38 - Banjo Kazooie (Guessed by Smeags)

Banjo Kazooie was hands-down among the best of the N64. While the game had some flaws, like the narrow plattforming segments, swimming, lackluster final boss and camera controlls, it still had an excellent level design, moveset/controlls and gameplay. For me, the game just felt different overall compared to SM64 and I'm thankfull for that. To have 2 amazing 3D platformers on the same system and still be different enough is something I'm really glad for. Let the sequel come and I'll go down with the real deal.

Super Smash Bros Melee, of course. I did allude to Master Hand.

Hint for #35:

This hint is impossible. Make no attempt to solve it.

Portal.

Bingo.

I will remain resolute in this atmosphere of extreme pessimism, and say that your game is Portal.

Equally true. You two deserve some cake.

Bingo and it won't be the only superhero game in my top 50.

36. StarCraft
PC (1999)
Blizzard Entertainment

StarCraft was my first ever Real Time Strategy game (I started out watching my friend play WarCraft II, and picked it up after becoming a huge fan of this game), and it was the game that began my love affair with Blizzard Entertainment (where that love has gone now, no one knows...). All I can say is that Blizzard crafted a game with such polish that it still holds up incredibly well to this day. They also created a world (well in this case, a universe) full of lovable (as well as vile) characters, unique worlds and species, and an intriguing story full of heroic deeds and evil tretchery. StarCraft remains an incredibly memorable and lovable game after all these years thanks to the love that Blizzard put into it, and the fans around the world are up for another match. For the swarm!

Hint for #35:

If it wasn't for one of video game's most soothing and relaxing songs out there, we would have all gone crazy in this tough as nails level.
