No, God of War is traditional hack n slash. This game is like Batma Arkham and Assassins Creed.
I hope so, because from what I've seen it's a few choice cuts of meat, several slices of cheese, and some tomatoes away from a complete sandwich.
Looking forward to trying this first hand. The previews don't give me much. Try before you buy type title to me.

Oh man sounds incredible. Head dismemberment, yes! A mix of Dynasty Warriors and Ass Creed sounds great to me.
I am thinking of picking an Xbone up for my wife and kids for Christmas instead of waiting for Titanfall. Ryse is a day one purchase for me now after reading this article.

from what we have seen I'd say I agree... but we have seen very little since I believe there are more than 100 different executions..... SO I think we just scratched the surfface of it all and we have probably seen more low level gameplay too than when you have a built up character....
I dunno but I feel like that game will get a 75 average but will be tons of fun for the people that like it.... it's one of those game you will either love it or hate it I think.... I think I'll love it I'm not too big on hack'n slash that are to complexe myself.... I have no time to learn all the cool combos like in boyonetta.... (great game but way too complex for the time I have to allocate it, so i didn't finish it)

Simulation would call for realistic movement. Copying batman doesn't make anything a simulation, if anything its even more of a cop out to simulation when you're bouncing back and forth between enemies.
