Forums - Microsoft - Xbox All in One Demo (Must see, Pretty Impressive)

Watching this makes the Wii U's UI look so bad...
I always loved Xbox's UI. I probably won't use a lot of those features, but it's nice to have and may be good once I leave home. Will probably need a stand for the Kinect as well. What I don't get is the TV aspect. Does the One have its own interface (poor wording) for TV, or do I have to connect it to a DVR? I have a Driect TV HD DVR receiver, so can I connect it to that?

This was really impressive.
They should have used this demo at their reveal

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

That's how I want my gaming box to behave... stellar!!! All around an impressive system.

I forgot how to change my sig, can anybody help? Been trying for a while.

Looks great!

Glad they finally got the ok to show it off.

If you want an all in one media machine, pick the XB1. If your wanting just a gaming machine with a so, so online gaming and media experience, pick the PS4. Plain and simple solution.......

You do relize they couldn't have shown this at their reveal? It's heavily scripted and edited to hell. Like all commercials of these kind are. If it wasn't, they would have done what you are suggesting already. The company is not stupid.

So I need to come back and say that I was pretty wrong about Gaf's response to this. For the most part it's been extremely well received. That said, I'm still a little hesitant to start the complete jizzfest because as far as I know, all of these demos have been in environments controlled by MS. That's the last hurdle, to have some independent reviewer using all of the features out in the wild, and still praising how awesome it is. If that happens, we should see a lot of humbled motherfuckers :)

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

The app voice switching part was really awesome and fast. Exactly how I imagined it during the XOne reveal.

Here's a screenshot of the game during the demo:
