is this really "killer"? i mean, between things like smartphone bar code scanners and chase mobile deposit it's become pretty common practice to scan things like this.

Maybe not a "killer' but it does look convenient. Nifty little trick, there.

I'm sure even the 3DS (AR/QR) could pull this off....if they'd thought of it.
