This thread is for you budding writers of Haiku to get their pens out and start working. It's almost always easiest to write about subjects you are fimiliar with and ones that you like. Just try to write something about VGCHARTZ, VGCHARTZ Community or game related.
The form of a Haiku in general:
1. Five syllable on the first line:
2. Seven syllables on the second line
3. Five syllables on the third line
One unwriten rule of writing a haiku is that it represent or have nature in it. Like a rock, tree, forest, clouds, ground, pear, fire, water or whatever. Feel free to ignore this rule but if a nature refernece fits in perfectly then that's great.
Another rule (which is really a forum rule which I'm just restateing), no vulgar or pointless profanity. No personal attacks on other members.
So I'll get it rolling with a few examples from today from a couple threads.
From the, "I aplogize to Soriku" thread where Twesterm does a mea culpa:
fkusumot said: Tommy Tommy says He's sorry for the boo-boo Soriku snafu.
Famous Ringo said: Frank made a poem Soriku haiku for you Surprise elegance!
Rath said: Twesterm made a post Soon it was filled with Haiku Surprise Soriku
From the "Stof Bans himself because his 1mill prediction for Umbrealla Chronicles flopped" thread:
fkusumot said: Stof, Stof, you are gone. That Umbrella had a leak. See you tomorrow.
Rath said: Naz missed the topic The haiku he did not see To him it is strange
If you're interested, have fun!
