I don't see why it matters how well the Wii U fares, as the 3DS will still be miles ahead no matter what, unless you're trying to disregard their current install bases which I hope you're not. Also, we know the game releases in 2014, and we can guesstimate that by the end of 2014, 3DS will have sold say 45-55m and Wii U 8-12m. Just throwing some numbers out there. Whatever numbers they'll actually end up at, you can bet the 3DS will be in a league of it's own. And again, I doubt the average joe gives a hoot about the system a game is on more than said game itself, but I said this already.

the thing is everybody wants SSB more on Home Consoles cuz thats how we always played, im not saying 3ds wont outsell it but its install doesn't matter for this game, yes it'll limit the sales for WiiU  But we still dont kno, excluding Japan MH3U on WiiU sold just as much as 3DS version right? despite 3DS x10 install base!

Everybody does huh? How'd you find this out? Personally ask every single person in the world lol? This reasoning is just a belief, and with no evidence or facts to back it up, anyone could easily say the opposite. Like I could say everybody wants SSB more on portables because we wanna play it differently. It goes both ways, but what doesn't is the install base and pricing, which are only in the 3DS version's favor. And yes install base does matter, as you can't play a game without a system to play it on. I don't know anything about Monster Hunter so I can't comment there, but I'm guessing it didn't sell that much overall so of course there wasn't gonna be a big difference in sales of the two versions. SSB4 on the other hand is a completely new game that's pretty much guaranteed to sell 10+ million copies over the two systems, so there's definitely gonna be a big difference in sales between the two.

I still think Wii U veriosn will outsell 3DS version. It is a "hardcore" game. Even Batman Black Gate Vita outsold 3DS one.

Hah, even if SSB was a hardcore game, it wouldn't mean anything since the Wii U isn't any more hardcore than the 3DS and vice versa. As for Batman, from what I hear the Vita is a software starved system, whereas the 3DS just got Pokemon, so that's not really a surprise. Since we're all bringing up comparisons, how about NSMB2 vs NSMBU? Sure NSMB2 had a few months headstart, but I doubt that's the only factor contributing to it's 4+ million lead. And how about Animal Crossing handheld versions vs home console versions since that series also originated on home consoles.

what are you talking about? That sounds very ridiculous right there. 3DS and WiiU are completely different in power. Besides that i meant they will play a little different. They have completely different stages, its not a port. You saying that obviously shows you dont kno wat your talking about! Dont be mad SSB will be the best selling fighter again for the 3rd generation!

They will play a little different, huh? Sure you're not making that up?

And since when does different stages means different game?

No im not making that up, and yes they are different. Halo 3 and Halo ODST are different right?

Seperate sales they'll outsell all fighting games most likely next gen.

Yeah, those Halo games are different because they are actually different. You still haven't said how they will play differently.

Is Same fighting Mechanics but 3DS version has customization (which Director stated), Entirely different art style, Different Stages, Different Title, Different Experience as this is the first time you dont nessacirily have to share the same screen, and wat ever else is not announced. These games will be as different as COD BLOP and COD BLOP2. Very similar yet different. They are not the same exact game like PSASBR is with the ps3 vs vita version

Character customisation? What can you customise? I'm very curious about that.

Artstyle? It just means that the 3DS version won't look as good as the Wii U version. Sakurai said so himself:

http://www.nowgamer.com/news/1972435/super_smash_bros_the_difference_between_wii_u_3ds_versions.html

And, different stages means different game, huh? I suppose when I change stage in a fighting game I'm playing another game...

take it as you will, no matter wat they will both sell well regardless

It's ok, dude. You can continue making stuff up.

The way I see it, the people who will be looking to buy SSB4 fall under one of four different scenarios which are as follows:

#1. People Who Own A 3DS
#2. People Who Own A Wii U
#3. People Who Own Both Systems
#4. People Who Don't Own Either System

(..)

Uhm. That's literally everyone.

Yes, everyone that's interested in SSB4.

And you think Wii U version will beat 3DS version because better console experience better than handheld experience lol what?

#1, #2 and #3 combined is good for about 40m people right now. Taking your post literally, #4 is good for over 7 billion people right now. Don't worry though, I was just returning the bullshit-favour.

And also, that second part is pretty much a given. Unless the WiiU is a complete bomb that won't reach 15m sold and the 3DS will sell over 150m units lifetime, fighting games on home-consoles will win in sales versus those on handhelds. The home-console is just better suited for such games. Maybe not now at the start, because 3DS has 10 times the install-base, but most definitely at the end of their lives.

tbone is correct. Shame on me i totally forgot about the Nintendo. Yes the 3ds version is really different.

Still i believe people who like the wii u version even buy the 3ds version also to play it on the go. Being different just gives them more incentive to buy both games.

15 million i think it can achieve

Nintendo direct i ment, sorry i cant edit.

No idea what you're getting at with the first paragraph, and the second paragraph is just more beliefs and made up rules. Is this really the only reasoning all those saying Wii U version will sell better have, because as explained already that's nothing to go on.
