Today FuRyu Released a new video featuring its upcoming JRPG Exstetra, that will be released in Japan on November the 7th for PS Vita and 3DS.

The video shows about five minutes of gameplay in a dungeon, including a better view on the battle system compared to what we’ve seen so far. Interestingly enough, it doesn’t contain any kisses (which is funny, considering that the game is basically based on kisses).

This clearly is an original game! Mixing a dungeon crawler with a dating sim, man I never saw anything like it!

This is really nothing like Persona...

I'm sure of it I never said it was. Persona has dating sim elements, this looks to be a dating sim game.

I wonder if it has a sex scene.

And no, there will never be an actual sex scene in Japanese game released on a console. Why do you think there is anything explicit about this game?

The dungeon crawling part looks quite generic, though I like the general concept. Wonder if it comes to the west on at least one of the two platforms... wouldn't mind another pimping RPG

In principle I'd really love to see this game come over to the west, because I'd love to see more Vita/3DS stuff (even though the Vita version will be slightly gimped because of the 3DS' hardware; I genuinely don't care, especially for something like a JRPG).

It has the potential to sell to the small niche JRPG fanbase built up on Vita already that should be increasing in 2014 with all the localizations announced; as well as selling to the broader 3DS market.

And in my wildest dreams maybe it'd start a precedent of more 3DS/Vita titles being developed in Japan because of the potential market to localize to.

With all that said, though, I just think this game looks like utter rubbish. And that's coming from someone whose future JRPG plans include Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth. It just seems so slow paced and dull; and it's sole hook is "kissing" which isn't even really a feature.

Maybe I'm wrong. But they didn't pay Famitsu off for a good review, so it seems like the developers don't care too much about the game either :P

There's yaoi and I'm happy about it. I'll be purchasing this for my 3DS ^^

The game will probably be Japan only, I would love to try one of this games but they won't come here
