Any speculation on Wii U Mario Kart bunduru's price for North America. I guess first we should wait for announcement of same bundle for the market.

Wii U news of 24/04/2014: Indie news in the first line! (unless the weekly numbers from VGC are updated like today)

  • Hardware and Software globally for the week ending April 12: 3DS sells 102k units, dropping only 8%, but Wii U sells 29k (eegh) a drop of 13%. Pokemon keeps beasting with 41k copies sold (it's not so high in the charts, but many games released this week), followed by Mario Party with 35k, Yokai Watch with 32k, Yoshi with 30k, AC, MK7, Luigi's Mansion and more. On th Wii U, things are bad, with it's best selling game coming at #41, NSMBU, which means it sold 24k > MarioU < 17k ( I would say +20k), then Tropical Freeze, NSLU, 3D World, Lego The Hobbit and more.
  • Stick it to the man releasing on May 1st! Hive Jump is coming to Wii U!
  • Mario Kart 8 Bundle confirmed!!!!!!!! PARTY HARD!!!                               Oh, for Europe only. For now... Right? right?
  • Peach and Yoshi wiimotes are also confirmed! But only for Eu- WHAT DA FUCK!? SINCE WHEN DOES NINTENDO TREAT EUROPE SO WELL???

Does he actually want that stuff over NSMBU + NSLU? Also I should of noted that it's still possible that they'll have bundles with just the game for the usual $300. They better!

Yea, he likes the look of colourful bundled stuff. Unlike me, he is not into 2D Mario. Around $300 for the regular Mario Kart bundle would make sense.

Yeah I'm not too big on 2D Mario either. I only got the NSMBU + NSLU bundle because through a deal it came with a $50 giftcard, which'll essentially make Mario Kart 8 free! ^_^

If the $300 bundle with just the game becomes a real thing, would your bro still opt for the $350 one? Just curious!

Not sure. He does like spending money on collector/limited editions sometimes. So maybe. 

Also 2D Mario FTW!

He should look into the WWHD bundle then. The gamepad has decals on it that could make it worth something down the line.
