What if Nintendo packaged some of it`s games with 3rd party games for the price of 1 1/2 games?
I would say HW bundles, but i`m sure some contracts are already signed to get X game bundled exclusively on PS4 or XB1.

We could have a Mario Kart 8 + Watch Dogs, Smash + CoD next or new NFC + Skylanders next/Disney Infinity next.

It could be a good move to really sart pushing a userbase on Wii U for those franchises. Specially if we are talking about a new IP like Watch Dogs.

This would only work if the price remained the same as any game. That would mean either Nintendo or 3rd partys forfeit profits and probably take losses, so I doubt this'll happen.

If the price is the same as a game and a half, it would mean that Nintendo would have to cut into it`s profits, but it would garantee that 3rd party game would sell enough to warrant a sequel.
And we could even see an increase in sales for that specific Nintendo game with the added 3rd party game, thus diminishing Nintendo`s losses.

Price of a game and a half? You mean $90? If so I don't see many people buying it over the standalone Nintendo game for $60. As we've seen, 3rd party games hold little value on the Wii U, hence you'd basically have to make them free.

Anyone pre- order any third party Wii U games this week yet?

Like the new cabela hunting game...for instance....

I've never seen the need to pre-order games. :L

If, instead of buying one game on Wii U and the other on PS4/Xb1, that option would save you 30$, i think a lot of people would be persuaded to save money on buying the pack on Wii U.

A limited edition pack for the price of just over 60$ is an option aswell.
That would mean Nintendo would buy from the developer a X amount of copies and bundled it with SW, instead of HW.
Could work.

Of course, if we think about those who are one the fence on which console to buy, the pack would really help save some money, and in the end, help in the decision of which console to buy.
And not to forget that it would allow for 3rd party visibility.

Well it'd certainly be better than doing nothing!

Can someone answer this?
I think this past summer, or fall, Super Mario 3, or some Mario Virtual Console game with 3 in it was advertised on the Wii U virtual Console as TBA, or TBD? Is this game out yet, or is it saying the same thing?

I think it is available on Wii U virtual console in Europe but not yet on NA. You can access it through Wii Channel on Wii U in NA though.

As Green_Sky said it's out now if you;d like to get it. Think it came a couple months ago. It's worth getting for sure!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
