3D World having poor depth perception isn't an opinion, it's a fact. To say you have no issue with the camera system would mean it's perfect, which it isn't. Far from it...

Depth perception is pretty important for a 3D platformer.

I didn't say it was perfect. I didn't have any abnormal issues with it that I haven't had with other 3D games.

I truly don't understand why you care so much about this.

Because some design choices shouldn't be defended.

And I have a hard time believing someone didn't have any issues with it. It's a pretty universal complaint this game has gotten. It was likely implented because of the 4-player multiplayer. I hope that never returns if it means we're stuck with that camera perspective.

I didn't even consider 3D Land lol.

Understandably so. It's the least memorable out of them all. Still good but not really close to the others.

o: You`re asking for trouble with that post. And you ranked 64 so low... O:

I actually ranked 64 pretty high. Just lower than the rest.

Out of the rest of the Mario games? It does seem on the higher end in that case.

Despite all its flaws, I really enjoyed Sunshine. Not my favorite but I still had fun with it. I must now prepare for the angry mob that will soon gather from my statement.

Don`t worry, you`re safe. You got comrades who think the same here ; )

Says who? You?

You're mistaking me just stating my experiences for me hardcore defending, when that's not the case. I'm not saying "You didn't have any issues with the camera because I didn't" In fact, you're the one that's doing that to me. So please respectfully put this down, because literally this conversation isn't going to go anywhere.

Well this is how I see it:

Saying a 3D platformer needs an isometric camera perspective is like saying a game needs 24fps for a cinematic experience.

If you ask me 60fps is objectively better, just like a non-isometric perspective in a platformer is better than an isometric perspective. But most of my problems stem from the controls anyway.

There were some missions in that game that I absolutely despised, but other than that, it was a solid game.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Sunshine has the best controls. :p

Since the 3D Mario ranking is a thing, I say:

Galaxy > Galaxy 2 > 64 > 3D World > Sunshine
