Not a huge surprise though, being essentially a Wii/3DS game in HD did it no favours, nor did its status as an unknown IP.

More than likely. Surely, they won't be like Japan's (which got multiple directs), but just a big one. If Platinum Games games got Directs, Monolith Soft's has to.
