I don't believe this song was actually used in the game.

I don't think so...but it does sound very familiar...maybe parts of it were used in other songs?

The beginning sounds like the Hidden Machina Village. Which made me suspect it had something to do with that, but no moment there came to mind, and I've never heard the rest of the song in-game.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but apparently a Pokemon Rumble World game has been rated in Australia. http://nintendoeverything.com/pokemon-rumble-world-rated-in-australia-new-game/

Having a powerful console won't help them (N64 was more powerful than the PS1, as GC was more powerful than the PS2);
Having a machine that pleases 3rd parties also won't help them (GC was a easy to develop machine too).
It's not power nor it's 3rd party games that will sell Nintendo systems. It's how gamers perceive it that will make NX succeed or fail.

One of the risks of the Fusion strategy is that less consoles will be sold because Nintendo fans buy both. Yet, that doesn't seem to be the case this gen, with Wii U selling so little.
Still, whatever sales Nintendo loses with Fusion they can regain them and then some more if their SW strategy is there and really appeals to MS and Sony fans.

Two things that hurt Nintendo to this day is the lack of SW and diversity.
Nintendo has enough manpower to handle one machine (including staff to help optimize the games for both consoles). That being, promblem 1 solved;
With the remaining staff, normally allocated to another console, they can use that staff to make bigger projects like there own Halo, CoD, Gears, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Assassin's Creed, etc.
If they play their cards right not only can they solve problem 2, they can help create a market for 3rd parties and read put up a fight.

Of course, this is all theory, but it's more than possible.
Shooters, racers, sports games, adventure games... non of that is new to Nintendo. They just stopped doing them.

Well the issue with n64 was that it used cartridges instead of cds and the GC used mini discs instead of DVDs and while you could use multiple mini discs, we all know how lazy third parties really are.

"It's how gamers perceive it that will make NX succeed or fail." Yes, I agree and when the NX comes out and its less powerful than the ps4/x1 with zero third party support in this day and age where gamers are counting pixels and games like Cod sell more than Nintendo's best IPs (granted multiplatform but still)... Exactly how do you think that gamers will perceive it?

We all know the short comings of the wiiU and the reason why it failed. Its architecture, its performance, its hard drive space that can't even really fit most 8th gen games, its lack of advertising, its confusing name and the list goes on. The wiiU failed due to a ton of reasons, most of which can be easily fixed with the NX. And lets be honest here, they can't regain an entire market with SW... If they lose their console market, there is no coming back

The issue with making their own "Halo, GT, Uncharted and etc" is that their development team never made games like those. Just because its Nintendo doesn't mean they can make everything. The reason games like GTA, Halo and etc are the way they are is because the developers behind them knows how to make them very well hence any clones sell poorly (comparatively) and doesn't capture why those games are so popular

And of course, you do have the branding... GTA is its own brand, Cod is its own brand and casuals go after the name more than anything so even if Nintendo makes those kinds of games, it will take loads of effort to get them to sell even a respectable amount. Remember, Nintendo isn't made out of magic. Also, not to mention that since this will be a $200 handheld vs against $400 next gen consoles or even current gen consoles, the graphics alone will outclass Nintendo's take on those games and therefore, the fans of those franchises won't even bat an eye on Nintendo's version

Edit: I also forgot to mention that Nintendo's "Family Friendly Image" will be affected if they make a games about shooting/killing people which is something they dont want
