Not always. Currently yes because they seem to be every two months now (keep it up, it's perfect!) , but back in 2013/early 2014 days if I felt like wanting them every 2 weeks, even though they did them practically monthly.

The Directs last year were by far my favorite. I much prefer Directs that focus on only one game, rather than having Directs that focus on multiple games. I hate that they went back to the old way, because they always end up disappointing. There was not one single-game-focused Direct that wasn't fantastic, where as most multiple-game directs are disappointing. I can only think of two that were great: The one that revealed XCX, and the one that revealed Hyrule Warriors.

Meanwhile, both Smash Directs were awesome, the Tomodatchi Life Direct almost made me buy the game, the Mario Kart 8 Direct was amazing, the Hyrule Warriors Direct was great, the Bayonetta 2 direct was fantastic, and the two recent XCX Japanese-only Directs hype me through the roof. Not one of them was just good, and definitely not disappointing.

I think it was perfect last year, with main ones every 2 months and game-specific ones filling in the gaps. I count XCX ones of this year as the ones filling the gap, even if in Japanese. I personally found all last years and this years directs grear+, and half of 2013's Directs to be meh or just good.

The main is where the exciting announcments are, and the game-specific is where the exciting games are shown in more detail!

The 3rd one seems good, but long. I think the 2nd one is the best one.

Hmmm......the numbers aren't right for the challonge to make it completely fair. It has it's drawbacks. Has to be 2, 4, 8., 16, 32 ect players for the brackets to be normal.

I don't understand how the one with rounds works. Maybe try bracket's ninja? Here's an old example I found saved in bookmarks.

Project Ukulele

A good looking 3D platformer by an indie developer? I'll be damned.

Running the tourney in the method you guys suggested provided the following results:

I suppose it is up to you guys to determine what you think is best!

I think if everyone has the time, it should be no.3, as it shows who is the best plus everyone gets to play, but if not then no.2.

Also someone represent uran with yoshi in the smash tourney, spam eggs to victory! Trust me the egg game is all powerful unless your opponent is mario/dr mario.

I think we should continue with the format as I was planning initially for now. We can always make things more formal next time.

Also as Cloud is online I'll be playing against him now so we can see how it'll work. I choose the Gamer stage!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I can't see the pic, Samus... TwT

Looks pretty awesome. If it comes to Wii U and the game pumps out graphics like that i'd be pleased with it :D
