She reminds me of someone when her hair is like this. Can't place my finger on it though.

Am I the only one who finds that she looks so much better with that haircut vs the default?  I hope we can change some basic things like hair becuase that honestly looks alot better.  I think it's because her default covers her eyebrows which kinda mutes some of the subtleties of her expressions.

Which brings me to a hidden agenda of my post. It's the hair that makes them look bad you guys. That's why Elma looks somewhat bad.

Bayonetta 2 got over 90% and that game has some ugly graphics.

xbx actually looks a lot better (character models aside) and it's open world.

FE: A has poor graphics as well (imo), but it's still over 90%.

Given the bashing the characters are already recieving on the internet, I can't see reviewers letting them off easy.

Xenoblade Chronicles characters had like 100x worse faces imo, yet it still recieved glowing reviews.

Also a few hours in, you actually start to like the faces.  They kind of had this sort of comic book look to them.  Start getting into the 20+ hours, then 50+ hours and the standard 100+ hours to beat the game and that style of face and graphics are beautiful.

Now take X and the faces are already 100x better than they were in Chronicles, I just don't understand all the hate online.  Clearly all the haters have never played the first game, and most likely 99% of them wouldn't be buying the game anywy, let alone even own a Wii U.

So I've been playing Final Fantasy VI and a few other JRPGs recently.

I question the design choices. I really question how flawed these are.

I think it's impossible to make a perfect FF game unless someone thinks for a second and asks themselves, "Why does this have to be this way?" "Why is this tradition?" "Why can't we go against this?"

"Why do the other members of the party have to get no experience outside of battle?"

I'm not asking for something perfect, I'm asking for something that doesn't annoy me. I'm asking for a game where I don't have to go into a dungeon with all my characters, only to find out half of them are 30 levels underleveled

I'm asking for a game where I can play for three hours and not die by a random superboss that appears without warning. Why do the savepoints have to be the only checkpoints? Why are cutscenes unskippable?

I'm annoyed that most JRPGs want to be like Final Fantasy, and take these design choices as trends.

I've cross-referenced all of this with Persona 3 and 4, and they all have these problems. Why does it have to be a trend? Why can't someone step up and say that they want to fix these problems? One of the things I loved about Xenoblade is that someone did question these things. And they fixed it. Why can't other developers just do this?

I think you mean Lynlee.  Elma looks pretty good imo.  I also think that Lynlee has had some unflattering appearances while Elma has gotten pretty good looks that show her emoting properly in a wide range.

Elma looks really good. That's why I said somewhat. Her hair is a bit...well not sure how to describe it.

This week's NVC is pretty interesting.

I don't have a problem with the faces myself, I just think reviewers will criticise them. They'll naturally have higher visual expectations of a Wii U game vs a Wii game, so it may be more a sticking point this time around.

That debate and Nintendo's we'll take care fo both 3D and 2D , I think two Metroid games will be shown at E3, both for next year which is Metroid's something anniversary, I think.

I reckon XCX will land at about 88 on Metacritic; points will be docked for the character models and animations.

Excluding the character models from XCX, Bayonetta 2 still looks better and more polished.

Just look at the blurry textures in when they zoomed on some characters talking out in the field in the latest direct, which makes sense since the Wii U is the weakest of this gen and the game is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Looks great overall, it's just that one scene really made me unable to concentrate on the Japanese characters talking.

I don't think XCX will be below 90% anyway though.

Conegamer, it's time to tell us more about the MK8/Smash session this weekend.

I've sent you a friend request a few days ago.
