I think the Nintendo community is just in better spirits this year. Wii U has a great lineup, releases are happening more often, New 3DS just launched, sales are improving (slowly, but still), etc.

That...and two new users showed up, and You, Samus and Curl started posting more.

 

Granted, Curl was already relatively active.

Yeah, that definitely makes a difference too. Instead of one or two people posting often and everyone else posting once in a blue moon, there's now a lot more people posting regularly. The more people that post, the more conversations begin and the more fun the thread is.
