I think one thing you could get if you have some extra money is a pro controller, as it has a massive battery life, so if your gamepad is charging you can use that. Plus, if a friend comes over you can both play the games.

The original Mario Party involved a number of titles where you had to rotate the analogue stick quickly for a long period of time. My little hands hurt from doing it

yeah I made a thread a while back, what to buy when buying a wii u and that was a highly recommended accessory.

Yeah, i have it and it works great! and also moulds into your hands well :)
