Ahh, gotcha. Interested in seeing how IGN scores it. They scored Triple Deluxe low because they thought it was too easy, yet now it seems some reviewers think Rainbow Curse is too hard.

I usually tend to agree with Jose on all of his reviews. Not sure who is reviewing Rainbow Curse, might be him.

I joke with the whole "wish they made a new Ocarina of Time" because that's exactly what fans wanted and got when Twilight Princess came out. And then everyone hated it and still want a new OoT that is only going to disappoint them again if it ever happens. As for myself, I've always made it clear that Ocarina of Time isn't quite my favorite 3D Zelda.

Let's not forget about everyone who wanted a new Zelda in the style of Link to the Past who couldn't understand why they made Link Between Worlds in the style of LttP...

There's never been a more confused canvass than that of Zelda...

Because it has a loyal fanbase, and ever single person in the fanbase has a different opinion.

Huge Zelda fans have put hate on LBW and for good reasons. That story does not hold.

Include me on that. I don't "hate" A Link Between Worlds since it's obviously a pretty good game, but the story was so... meh. It was pretty cool at first but after a couple playthroughs I just went back to A Link to the Past. It just has an extra... magic to it. Maybe it's nostalgia, but it does.

I have absolutely no nostalgia for Link to the Past, and I can say it is a much better game. I made a thread picking out flaws in LBW's story when compared to other Zelda canon. Just go into my posts/threads. I got a lot of backlash because the game was so fresh at the time.

And I would have also bashed you had I read your thread back in the day. Probably. I actually wondered back then if A Link Between Worlds was better or worse than A Link to the Past... I never had a moment when I considered ALBW the superior game, but it came pretty close. I only started disliking it more after subsequent playthroughs.


Even as a standalone there are flaws. Like you said.
