Forums - Sony - Where are the Vita games for 2014?!?!

I have just sold my vita. I am tired of waiting for good AAA games. The Vita has been the worst investment I have ever done in one console...

Before GOTY (Tearaway) releases? Damn! Especially surprising you've sold it given Killzone has been one of the best FPS games this year on any format.

I guess handheld gaming just isn't for you :)

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

You think if Vita got exclusive games from TES, Witcher, Dragon Age and Mass Effect series, they wouldn't move hardware? The only jRPG that could compete with them is FF. I'm talking about the West obviously, as I don't really care about or understand Japan. Vita is safe there either way.

As a nearly exclusive RPG gamer, not really. Not unless we are talking about ports of older TES  or fallout games or a less action oriented wrpg. It would essentially need to be a turn based wrpg, at which point im not sure it would even be a wrpg at this point. I don't think games like Witcher, dragon age, or Mass effect fit handhelds at all.

The Witcher could be a problem, but Dragon Age or Mass Effect? You can always pause the game to give commands to your party members.

It even works with K.o.t.O.R. or Mass Effect Infiltrator on an iPad with a touch screen... on the Vita you could use sticks, buttons AND the touchscreen.

Ports of older Bioware Games would be possible on the Vita: Baldur's Gate 1 + 2, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars K.o.t.O.R. 1 + 2, Jade Empire, Mass Effect + Dragon Age could be great handheld games.

Or Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas with the tactical "V.A.T.S."-system... you could choose the targeted body part (head, torso, leg, arm..) per touch screen.

Ys games dont have DLC, dont worry about it. I myself bought the vita for Ys Celceta and Virtue's Last Reward.

Why would Witcher or other action oriented games be a problem? A game like Witcher or Kingdom of Amalur is exactly the type of game I want on my Vita. Can't see a problem with them, there is only one character to control.

But obviously I'd buy all the Bioware games and all Fallouts. Morrowind HD would be a nobrainer as well. I need wRPGs on it so bad :( We've gotta tweet Shahid about Bioware games and Wasteland 2 :P These are indies at this point after all ;) He should go after them.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

at the same place where the wii u games are for 2014

Oh... i didnt know the Wii U had so many new games announced for next year already. Not that they need since super smash and X by themselves will be huge.

Seems like it sadly has been relegated to peripheral status

Let's not forget Mario Kart, which should easily sell more than the whole Vita lineup in 2014.

Have you even read the thread? Theres plenty of games coming for the Vita nex year. More than the 3DS so far.

i love how all the long lists of games that have been posted have been ignored. Denial is such a strong thing in these forums.
and i'm thinking that usually 2014 wont be limited to games that have been confirmed by november 2013... but thats just me, I'm no fun.
