Well there isn't too much, but a couple things jump out
#1 they can reduce the OS GPU reserve (allegedly 10% initially). They already stated they are working on doing this in a Eurogamer article, so that is good. A minor help but every bit counts.
#2 and the biggie imo, I was at one time pretty connected to the rumor mill and a very solid Microsoft source told me that out of the 3GB of RAM reserve for X1 OS, 1Gb was actually "in limbo". Literally doing nothing. Evidently they would decided later presumably, whether to use this 1GB for the OS or "release" it to games.
That info was a good 6 months to 1 year old info and out of date now. The fate of the 1GB may have already been decided months ago for all I know. But releasing that 1GB to games giving the X1 6GB for games would be great. Be aware that even if this happens, we may not find out it did until much later or never. RAM reserves are a closely guarded secret it seems.
I imagine that MS HQ is under some pressure right now to increase performance, so they may well move on these fronts.
