Nintendo charges sales tax on every digital purchase. They're are the only game company to do this on digital goods.

Not every digital purchase. They have never charged a single cent of sales tax on any digital download I've bought from them.

Consider yourself lucky then. I've paid tax on games for 3DS, DSi, and Wii, including DLC.

There are recent examples as I spent my SMT/FE credit on 3DS stuff.

I'm seriously thinking about going just Digital, but i really want the cases >.<
anyways, these are the positives from the Digital side of things, atleast for me:
1.a lot of retailers here don't even stock 3DSs/3DS games, which means that you have to order your game online and wait a couple of weeks, that's if you don't encounter any problems. with Digital you get the game instantly.

2.most of the stuff here is overly expensive. every new Console is 2000 shekels at launch (around 566 dollars)(yes even the Wii), besides the PS3 which was 3000 shekels at launch (around 850 dollars). PS360Wii are around 1000 shekels these days (around 300 dollars). and games are around 300 shekels (85 bucks),so it's cheaper to go Digital.

3. i don't need to carry the games!

4. i don't need to fear losing my games!

5. no tax!

6. very easy to load and manage games!

My only problem with digital games on the Wii U are the 32 Gb of space...unless there is a way to use an external HD or something like that.

Im old-school and also like my physical copy also, but its nice seeing Nintendo embrace change. I think the future is still both though, i can't see gaming go completely all digital just yet or the distant future.

Yes, you can plug in external HDD's to increase your storage space.

Nintendo talked about it a few times during their Wii U Nintendo Directs.

Speaking of..aren't we due for a ND about now?
