3D-enabled adaptations of retro classics to be sold for $5.99 each.

Sega has announced that it will be releasing eight remastered titles into Nintendo's 3D Classics range on the 3DS eShop.

The retro games have been tweaked to make use of the handheld's 3D effect, and will include Genesis classics Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, and Streets of Rage, among others.

Nintendo has previously released some of its own titles, including Kid Icarus and Excitebike, as 3D Classics.

Titles will be sold individually at a price of $5.99/£4.49/€4.49, being made available in batches of two across a four-week period. The dates are as follows:

11/28/13: 3D Space Harrier, 3D Super Hang-On
12/05/13: 3D Sonic The Hedgehog, 3D Altered Beast
12/12/13: 3D Ecco the Dolphin, 3D Galaxy Force II
12/19/13: 3D Shinobi III, 3D Streets of Rage

Because all 3D do, IS WIN WIN WIN NO MATTER WHAT.

Had to do that DJ Khaled reference for some reason.

Anyways, I have been waiting for this since it was announced back in like 2011 or 2010 for crying out loud.

Next is TurboGrfx16 (whatever its called) 3D Classics. I'm not familiar with this systems games, but seems interesting.

Its a nice intro into the 100 3D Movie Premieres of 2014, plus all the new must have 3DS games like Bravely Default & Smash Bros. & Professor Layton & so on and so fort.

2014 will be a much more bigger and epic year for 3D, just you sit back, watch and see.

I wish it was the arcade perfect port of Space Harrier that's on the Wii's Virtual Console, but since all of these seem to be Genesis games they probably meant Space Harrier 2.

In either case I'll be buying it for sure.

looks like imma gonna have to delay my planned purchase of a Nexus 7 and divert the funds into re-buying a 3Ds..
