Forums - Sony - Possible MLB 14 The Show news soon (New Update)

I don't know if there are many baseball fans on here, but this has been one of the top sports franchises this gen. Also, it a graphics powerhouse.  And with MLB2K no longer around its the only way you can get your baseball fix. Can't wait to see what San Diego studios can do with the PS4!!

They posted this pic on their twitter account. Im guessing first screen shots of the game on 11/4

So do I. It was my first game on the PS3 back in 2007

Nice.. But still strange Sony bought the license for this.. Like WRC and Formula 1 a few years back.. I know they want to have a certain audience to commit to their console but I think a company like EA could make a larger franchise out of it then it is now..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

2k locked up an agreement with the MLB that they can be the only third party simulation baseball game, which is why MLB the show can exist( because its first party) and arcade style baseball games. Microsoft could also make one if they wanted to as well as Nintendo. Microsoft actually did make one back in the day Inside pitch, which was actually pretty good. But those days are long behind them.

Oh hell yes. So excited to see the upgrade to the show on PS4. Will definitely be picking this up.

Curious to see how good this series will look when it's built specifically for the PS4 one year. Maybe not this year, but next? The PS3 versions look great and I've heard that people have actually thought someone was watching an actual baseball game.

I purchased MLB 13 The Show, but sold it recently in the trade in two, buy one game for $10, since being a sports game I knew I wouldn't get $25 for it, and a couple years from now I'll buy it back again for dirty cheap, I chose it as the trade in. I thought it was a good game though.

Honestly, given the graphical improvements NBA 2K14 has showcased for its next gen versions I expect MLB The Show to improve as much or better. I hope they continue to improve collision detection, animations, announcing, and PS Move support. I also hope they start bringing us new features for RTTS, Dynasty, and Franchise. I really want to see a stadium builder for franchise although that may be too much to ask.

Interesting to see that The Show did fend off 2K baseball games, although still the franchise only has a niche audience, it does pretty good numbers, and this time around without 2K it may grow a bit.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

MLB the Show has always been a great franchise, Im keen to pick it up on the ps4
