i like the first season but after carley got shot i was kind of disappointed (read pissed) too.  i suppose it is impossible (read costly) to make a truely limitless game but it was more on rails than i had hoped and unlike heavy rain the rails were more visible the first play though.

might pick up season two.  might not.  regardless,.. not a top priorty for me.

That was the most shocking moment for me as well and both what made me love and to an extent hate the game.

I understood the branching and then leading back to same point ignoring choices, but my main issue was I did not identify with Clem.  So many people talked about how protective they were of her when I latched onto many other characters like Molly.  I even tried to let Clem die multiple times, but you cannot do that.  Maybe she'll develop, but seeing her as the main character I am not enthusiastic about it.  That said, I know my lady (huge Walking Dead fan!) will get it as soon as she can so might as well check it out.

Lol I felt the same way, (at the time I liked Carly much more then Clem) I was pissed and confused when that happened and the story after it was great but always felt there was minumim choices that would actually change the story drastacillay.I wish they did something like Heavy Rain were one choice can change the whole ending to the game.

However I thought the story was good and I defiantly enjoyed playing season one (just not as much as others). Im intrested to hear more about season 2 but I think ill wait like I did with season 1 and buy it on sale on psn for 5.00 ( also just bought the 400 days dlc on sale for 2.50). (:

EDIT: BTW I think the cover for season one looks awesome (:

yeah, clem was only okay for me as well.  i was mostly attached to kenny and carley.

at the farm when you have to choose kenny's kid or shawn i choose duck and i had the impression my choice mattered (a replay of the event proved otherwise).  at the other even when it was carly or ben i choose carly and that's when the veil was lifted.  i didn't expect everything to be up to me and i didn't expect everyone to make it out alive.  BUUUTTT,.. if you give me an oportunity to make a choice that choice should matter.  i guess that was the real issue; don't present me a choice when the events are deterministic.

the presentation was fantatic though and the story great.  i basically have a love hate relationship with this game.

One of the best games this gen. When first looking at it, I was wondering what all the fuss was about. Then picked up Ep1 free on PS Plus, and I just had to buy the others.

Cannot wait for Season 2!!

Agreed.  Watching my lady play it and make about 80% different choices and seeing the consequences wer epretty much the same really did lessen the illusion of choice.  It was still a solid story, but knowing that if backed a person to the hilt they still leave the group and some people had to die and osme had to live really made the question of why do the choices to a degree.

hopefully they take that criticism to heart and make different outcomes and ending based on your choices this time
