I think it could be worse, it could be ONE hour long

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I liked BF3's campaign a lot. It was exactly what it should have been: A straight forward modern war with a few twists and turns that doesn't try too hard to be complicated and edgy. It was very interesting how it explored the idea that (SPOILER) killing innocents (Even Americans) may be worth it to save more innocents.

Also what do you guys want from the campaign? It's a multiplayer game. There are plenty of SP games out there for you to play...

I expect variety, good pacing, and well constructed setpieces, BF3 delivered none of these for me.

It had great pacing and it went from infantry -> Tank -> Jet.  What kind of variety do you want?

The pacing left me bored half the time, and the variety provided by the tank/jet segments was somewhat undermined by how anaemic and dull those parts were. I never imagined driving a combat vehicle in a warzone could be so uninteresting.

I almost fell asleep in the jet mission. I was so hyped thinking I'd take control of the jet and wreak havoc, but they locked me into the backseat firing missiles for a ridiculously insane amount of time. It just dragged on forever. They really need to learn about pacing and when enough is enough.

At this point SP is just a tick in the back of the box for EA and DICE.

Pathetic neglect of single-player, but it's not like I expected some epic SP from a modern FPS.

Bioshock Infinite says hello.

Though not so recent the orignial Modern Warfare, Bioshock, Portal 2 (not in my opinion but most people really loved it) all had epic SP.

but bioshock infinite sucked
