PS: I agree about the bad AI though.

Please tell me what that gif is from.

OT: OP, did you even try to understand the combat tutorials?

Its from the Anime, Nichijou. :)

Truly a shame that you allowed for your exaggeration of what are ultimately minor grievances with the combat, sour your entire experience. This is evident by the fact you felt the presentation is deserving of a 7/10.

have you even played the game. Its lucky it got a 7, it looks so unrealistic and therefore cant draw emotions when it tries

Ive only played the start and will finish the game over the holidays (been a busy year)... it already had me in tears

My favorite game this entire generation along with The Last of Us.

I bought Final Fantasy II and III and Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc on SNES and Lunar I and II on Sega CD and many more when they were new in the store. In other words its not just a retro affair for me, I was there when it was current and its a core part of my gamer soul.

I miss that golden era of RPGs. Ni no Kuni is the closest we have been to that honest bittersweet story telling in a very long time.

Tears of joy here too, Ghibli plus Level 5 collaboration was a dream come true, and a great game came from it. A true magical adventure.
My only beef with the game was the end grind for items, but that was well after the story ended. Can't blame the game for getting repetitive after 60 hours. Such a beautiful world to explore, it brought back the joy of discovery in games from my youth.

I think i will just stick to the meta score, but thanks for the laugh.

My love of anime is the only reason I beat this game.

Game was Beautiful. Story was great. Characters were great.

Game play both in battle and out, killed the game for me. Even with speed increase on the map (its been awhile so I dont remember the name) the game was still way to slow for me.

Its funny, but I agree with both sides of this argument as Id give the game a solid 7/10.

Ni No Kuni is one of my favorite JRPG this gen. Its right up there with Tales of Xillia in my opinion and i'm workin on platinum trophy. Hoping for a Ni No Kuni 2!

DItto this. Currently at about 50% Trophies. Just the collectathon ones left mostly. Also hoping for a sequel. Wouldn't mind a Vita version either so I can have the superior pokemon-esque experience on the go that I have always wanted.

...Ni No Kuni´s horrible monster collection superior to Pokemon ?

Absolutely not !

He said experience, not the monsters themselves. Pokemon in Nino Kuni world would have been ace. It's what a lot of fans have been asking for ages, but since Pokemon games sell so well anyway, developers see no need to change the formula (especially since it'd require much more funds).

Just got back from work so late response, but This^

Pokemone will probably always be the best at what it does. NNK is just how I always dreamt the next step for it would be gameplay wise.

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

Just stop reviewing games. At least JRPG's. You didn't even understand 5% of the battle system, and after that I wonder if you even understood the story. You should have bought a strategy guide or read up on some good wiki's so you would have at least understood the dynamics involved in the Battle system. Oh well it's your loss and not mine! ;)

Wow that was pretty harsh, I sold my PS3 due to the lack of good JRPGs and to have money for a 3DS XL and this only helps my argument...

One user on a forum versus universal great reviews lol. Game is great, not everyone will like it however, it's how opinions work.

This review is just too far off to be taken seriously, the game is really well made, if you didnt like it ok, but that score is ridiculous. Like someone is trying to get attention.

Also your argument is wrong there are plenty of jrpgs now and a lot coming this year...............

Do we need that: every opinions from everybody ranging from 0 to 10?
