Forums - Microsoft - Newton challenges Escher on Xbox Live Nov. 13 in The Bridge

IGF Student Showcase winner and all-around acclaimed puzzle platformer The Bridge leaps to Xbox Live on November 13 for $10, published by Majesco's new indie arm, Midnight City.

Suspended platforms in The Bridge may not look like bridges at all – they may be staircases inverted upon themselves in a seemingly infinite loop or chessboards with cut-out walkways. The game is a 2D logic platformer that questions physics and interrogates perspective, "Isaac Newton meets MC Escher," as developer Quantum Astrophysicists Guild says.

If you want to get a head start, The Bridge is $15 on Steam and from the Quantum Astrophysicists for PC.

I was just going to say the same thing. Seems very unusual.

Wow, that could be really, really interesting.

And for those questions on Steam. Remember many of those 'super sales' are on really old games.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

yeah yeah I know that's why I asked about that type of games.... meaning "cheap" indie/XBLA games since I don't game on PC unless it is a RTS or mostly because it's not available on console (I'm the opposite of the usual hardcore gamer haha)... so are those 15/10 bucks games on XBLA at launch usually more expensive on steam.... like let say state of decay or the walking dead from telltales where how much on each store front at launch ???

that could be something interesting to follow.... to see what the trend was and where it is heading....

I have been following Steam's prices well enough to answer that question.  However, I can say that I got 'The Walking Dead' when the first eppisode was free, and the rest were half price.  So I paid like $7ish give or take?  I don't exactly remember, but if the full game was $15 I got it for less than half, as the first one was free.

Xbox Live has good sales, and during the holidays have massive half price sales that change every day. Plus you can get a small rebate if your gamer score is high enough.  (And double it if it's really high.)

Would you like to start a chart and follow some price comparison?  Might be an interesting project.

Well yeah why not especially with xb1 indie/xbla games.. Could even include PS4 and put it in the game discussion.. Not to make a bragging thread but an informative piece for people owning more than one platform...

Of course.  With any indy game on both consoles I've always seen the same price. But we should also include Nintendo too!  No need to be snobs.

They are often in the same in the same advertisment, espically now that Microsoft uses actual cash values and not MS Points.

The differences would be the sales though.
