This game has the worst render of Frank West I've ever seen. Seriously, it looks like you're playing with Niko Bellic, not with Frank West:

But other than that, I agree. Awesome fighting game (Though Morrigan sucks as a character. I'm sorry, buddy, but she's just useless in this game).

are the servers still up? havent checked in a while

I came within inches of buying a Wii for the RPGs. Then I was like, no, I'll just get a Wii U eventually, but ... well. The Wii U isn't where I thought it would be at this point. The other problem is that I'm hearing some of the Wii games I would like to play are hideously expensive.

that and imho the games arent all that to begin with. PS3 has a better library of RPGS, thats just my opinion

Well I'm just glad Capcom didn't reuse the Morrigan model like they did for so many games throughout the years.

Her model is great in TvC (Wii), but when she appeared in Capcom vs. SNK 2 (also on Gamecube) she was a jaggie mess:

Huh. Can't be worse than Megaman for Street Fighter vs Tekken:

A person that owns more than 1 console   most likely also has PC for gaming  that does not buy COD and Fifa/Madden every year and plays all kinds of games from all types of genres. That also understands that color =/= childish and grey+brown+gore =/= mature.

Everything else is opportunist/mainstreamer

I think they used the same low res Morrigan model for Capcom vs. SNK 2 that was in the original Darkstalkers.  Capcom vs. SNK 2 came out in 2001 and Darkstalkers back in 1994.

Don t f8rget Xen8blade guys and the perfection of RE 4 wii version

A little while ago I purchased a used Wii from a friend. My thoughts on the Wii this generation are a bit mixed. I have at least 1000 hours logged into Smash Bros Brawl with friends, and easily claim it as the best local multiplayer game of all time (in my opinion). However, I always thought the console's 100 million units sold were a bit biased, as it catered so much to the casual gaming fan. Love it or hate it, the Wii was only popular because it appealed to the female, older, and child audience. The core gamer pretty much ignored the console thoughout it's lifetime, choosing either the 360, Ps3, or PC gaming.

However, the Wii can be a great console today for core gamers. I got mine with controllers and everything for under $50, and with gamecube games, it's a fun little console. Smash bros, Mario Galaxy games, Zelda Wii games, and a lot of gamecube games are what I'm playing on it. If you avoid the shovelware that is Wii Fit, Mario/Sonic games, Wii Party/Sports, and the plethora of music based games (just dance, zumba fitness), you can find a lot of core gaming fun.

Highly recommend purchasing a cheap used Wii if you can find it. It's loads of fun!!!

First of all, as I've stressed many times, this whole "casual gamer" thing is a myth created by the industry. I will keep repeating this until this retarded buzz term goes away.

Second, while you're partially correct in that the Wii appeals to the female, older, and child audience, it also appeals to the retro gamer; those gamers who grew up with the Atari, Arcades, NES, Genesis, and some Super NES stuff, but have since lost interest because of the increasingly complex control schemes and graphics/cinematics residing over gameplay. I know this because I fall somewhat into this category.

But yes, you're right.. The Wii has tons of what people would consider "core" games. Even if the idea of "casual" were true, I never got this notion that the Wii is a "casual" console, as the majority of its games (at least its quality ones) would be considered core. Besides the obvious big ones like:

Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
Smash Bros Brawl
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Zelda TP
Zelda SS
Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy
RE4
Monster Hunter Tri
etc...

There are a ton of lesser known gems as well, that fall under the radar simply because of the lack of hype and advertising they get. Some of these are:

Little King's Story
Red Steel 2
Muramasa
Xenoblade Chronicles
Zack and Wiki
Dawn of Discovery
Rayman Legends
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Punchout
Okami
Sonic Colors
Deadly Creatures
Tramua Center
A Boy and his Blob
House of the Dead: Overkill
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Fragile Dreams
Lost Winds
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Rune Factory
NBA Jam
De Blob

It's like people just completely disregard these games and act like they don't exist simply because the industry does not hype them like those supposed AAA blockbuster titles on the HD consoles.. It amazes me how simple minded some people remain. And rest assured, these games ARE really good and do deserve to at least be checked out, which I know because I've played all of them. I'm not just pulling random third party games out of my ass here. If I was, I would have included stuff like Carnival Games, Ninja Bread Man, Bug Island, The Conduit, etc :P
