No. Definitely not their consumer products. The average consumer does not love Microsoft's products hence the analysts' predictions about Microsoft being irrelevant in 10 years.
Over 94% of Microsoft's income derived from their business solutions (45%), their declining operating system (26.4%) and their server and tools solutions (22.7%). Nearly all of their consumer products struggle out of the gate.
Examples of struggling consumer products from Microsoft:
Windows Phone 8: 3.3% declining worldwide market share
Windows 8: -18% decline
Surface tablets: -18% decline
Other hardware: -18% decline
Bing, MSN, Hotmail: $-1,281,000,000 loss
Internet Explorer: 12.1% declining worldwide market share
Xbox One: 19.5% declining worldwide market share
Kin phones: Discontinued
Zune media players: Discontinued
Microsoft Vine: Discontinued
www.so.cl (social): Discontinued
Microsoft WebTV: Discontinued
This is not an attack but the sooner Microsoft realize this problem the sooner they'll be able to improve things and prove analysts wrong about them not having a future 10 years from now.
