Ocelot is a league of legends mid laner for SK gaming he is not even close to be the best in Europe, he made some good decisions on his contract and merchandise deal I guess.

I want that... then I again I suck so much at League of Legends...

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

He is one of the worst pro LoL players.

I wonder what some let's players on Youtube earn just with Youtube videos.

I mean, i don't really have a clue about these guys but even an in Germany famous player has already i believe 800m views and his only potential audience are people who understand German...No clue what some people who speak English have.

The concept of making money from gaming is still very odd to me, sure there must be backing for it, any type of 'game' has a competition and therefore prizes. It truely highlights the gap between normal entertainment and interactive kind (music/movies to games). Really though I find it more odd from the fact these people are making money of someone elses production which could be more than the people that made it to begin with. 500k a year? I'm sure the sound director or hit detection promgrammer who worked endless hours to give the guy the opporunity to make that money is enjoying his 40k a year job.

I guess it depends on views or subscribers, or whether they class it as their job or a hobby as well. I think LegendOfThunder still works a day job, I don't think Chris Smoove does. While XboxAhoy doesn't but he also does journalism I think, infact many video youtubers or people who do internet videos based on games are generally journalists as well as gamers. It gives them an edge.

Hmm, pie.

Think again.

Programmers make much more than 40k a year and have the opportunity to move up to bigger positions.

Okay so £40k ($66 CAN) is maybe a bit little but even then, most skilled labour position dream of making £40k. Quick search seems that about £50k - £60k seems to be about right. This is high end of the IT industry (an industry filled with inflated salaries). But it's still not half a million pounds.

Hmm, pie.

The people who make footballs also earn less than a footballplayer ...

Taking the total video views and deviding them by 1000 should get you a rough estimate.
