Forums - Microsoft - Gorgeous New Ryse Son Of Rome Screenshots

hum ok I just went and checked KZ SF video on the interweb.... damn that game is finally looking great (never liked the greyish style of the other ones) and those cut scene are looking awesome... heck might even be better than ryse on some effects and texture, other are definitively better on ryse...

but when it comes to character models in game (during gameplay) and graphics in game I found Ryse over KZSF... granted KZ is an FPS more like halo with bigger areas and maybe more stuff going on on screen (like civilians/enemies/friendlies/stuff flying/crazy modern buildings etc)
so all in all I think they are really pretty games I would want if I had both consoles... but taken out of context I definitely think Ryse graphic aspect during gameplay is better, at least for character models and environment. effects and number of enemies on screen or stuff going on on screen might be better on KZSF... what I'm saying is if I take a still frame from each in gameplay to me Ryse wins so far...

Around the Network

Game really does look amazing. I don't buy MS console for personal reasons but between the 2 coming out I would definitely get the X1 at this point because it seems to have so much more to offer.

Been on the fence about this one but the more videos I see the more I want it...

Looks pretty good. It's not in the same league as Killzone: SF though.

Really? I think it's in the same league, just not on par with Killzone. The facial animations in both look sub-par compared to even current gen games though.

I don't know about KZ... but for Ryse it is a technical impossibility, they use the exact same motion tracking they use in movies... I don't know what games you are talking about this gen but I haven't seen many games having anything remotly life like as in Ryse.... and we know why it is not models created and animated by designers those are actual scans of real actors with real motion tracking...

not being on the deffensive here... but can you point me those games ??? I mean you do have motion tracking this gen, Star Wars comes to mind but nothing of that quality and with such an extended cast...

Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, L.A. Noire. Motion capturing still needs to be tweaked no matter what kind of tracking it is. Crytek doesn't have it down yet.
