I think Beyond has been adjusted down, now is 132k in USA, around 30k less than before, suming 305k total 1st week instead of 340k. So in my opinion, even more disappointing.... sorry CGI....

Why apologize to me because you are disapppointed? |
Well, that "sorry" means: "sorry, i can't admit that it's not a dissapointment for me". I was trying to be amusing, but it's obvious i failed miserably...XDD
And i'm disappointed because i liked a lot Heavy Rain and i was expecting a step forward with Beyond in quality and sales....

Beyond is a step forward in quality (sales have never been a measure of that). However, I don't think many expected it to perform as good as Heavy Rain (myself included), and this was long before reviews kicked in. It's the type of game it is and when it launched, in addition to those few that will skip it because reviews affected their decision. |
Ok, maybe in the quality point i was unfair because i only played the demo, but i stand in my opinion that selling 200k less than Heavy Rain in the 1st week is a huge step back.

It's a notable step back, yes, but it's also not like it was a sequel. So it will be taken in a different way. Besides, the game's not done selling and it's the holidays. There's still plenty that could change between now and Jan. 1. |
That's true, i forgot about it, it's something Heavy Rain didn't have. Maybe you're right in the selling point too....XD
PS3 leading the yearly software chart by almost 15 million.
I've noticed that the 'Note, data for this region is incomplete' quote, referring mostly to European sales, has disappeared from a whole host of games. Yet, the numbers seem to have remained exactly the same. Very odd.

The fuck, why? |
No clue, but it was gaining on U2 and was over 6.1M. Now it sits at 5,996,532 and rounded up to 6M on the game page.

There's probably some heavily overtracked data here, the worldwide numbers don't make sense. Japan seems to be not too off from the Media Create Sales (1.866 vs 1.940 million), and Europe seems to be right where it should be considering past launches. The issue is that the US is heavily overtracked, probably off by several hundred thousand for its first day.

didn't they say over 4mil? could be anywhere between 4mil-4.5mil. Anyway i only see US being overtracked and the most 200k. Sunday sales(US) are not going to be over 200k with everybody mostly buying the game midnight and all day saturday. Looks believable to me minus 200k overtracked in US

The media create doesn't include digital sales which Famitsu included the digital download cards so 1.94mil is spot on (Famitsu had it at 2mil). I do agree US is overtracked by between 100k-200k.
