vcool! i dont have any pokemon with 4 or 5 ivs to spare! i have only 2 pokemon that are done with iv+ev training, okay trading now!

I got that Froakie for a 5 IV Gible I had left over from breeding but wast interested in using it.
I have 3 pokes with best IVs, ability and Nature so far. Have another 4 that may need 1 more stage of breeding depending on how picky I am with IVs.
I have a HA adamant Dratini with 5 perfect IVs but not in HP so that may need breeding still

How do you catch the legendary birds? They show up then leave before the battle even starts.

Mean look might stop them from running, though I remember in Diamond/Pearl, Mesprit still ran away anyway. All in all I think you'll have to try and try again. Shouldn't be so bad thanks to soft resets.

They will run as soon as you encounter them for 12 times I believe or something close to that. After the 12th time they will settle in the Sea Spirit's Den. You can catch it then.

No. If you took Fennekin you get Zapdos. If you took Froakie you get Moltres. If you took Chespin you get Articuno.
